This. I prefer being under-ranked in the pre-season. Still hard to believe White isn't getting more respect. That will change once the season begins.

Probably because we got handled by Troy last year and lost our bowl game.

We haven't made it to Atlanta since 2011. We haven't played in the a BCS caliber game since 2011.

This is the SEC. Respect is earned, not given.

How much respect do you feel an Orgeron-led team should be receiving?

Because respect is earned and LSU hasn't done much in the last 5 years or so to earn respect.

O being born on the bayou doesn't automatically qualify him being the HC at the flag ship program of a Louisiana school. I know this may be hard for some to digest but O has to earn his respect and most of the college football world agrees with the "nega Tigers" on here concerning O. He may be the guy and Alleva was right all along but he has to prove it with Ws.

Guy's if we are able to find a good CB& offense line we will be hard to beat. We haven't had a QB since Flynn!!!

Is that why Vegas has us at 7-5? You think they base their Money lines on people being negative about O on a message board?

Tell me what’s mean and what’s a fact in the following:

- LSU lost to Troy
- State beat LSU by 30, could have been 40
- LSU lost its QB, RB, 2 starting WRs, 2 starting Corners, best Olineman, 2 starting D lineman
- LSU has a new OC mainly because O meddled and they didn’t get along.
- LSU is led by, statistically, the worst coach in Ole Miss’s modern football history.
- LSU landed, statistically, the lowest ranked recruiting class in 15 years.
- LSU’s wins came against:
- 4-8 BYU
- 3-8 Chattanooga
- 4-8 Syracuse
- 4-7 Florida
- 10-4 Auburn (Good win)
- 6-6 Ole Miss
- 4-8 Arkansas
- 4-8 Tennessee
- 7-5 A&M

Defense should be very good.

We have no idea what we have on offense. We’ll see.

Media isn’t being disrespectful to LSU. They’re being realistic.

Warning - Response isn't for everyone

We haven't done much in recent years to earn the respect TBH. We drop games we shouldn't and win some games we shouldn't. once we are consistently top 3 in the SEC then we will gain the respect we once had

Flynn in 2007 had: 2407 yds 56.3% 21 TDs 11 Ints 125.8 rating

Mett in 2013 had: 3082 yds 64.9% 22 TDs 8 Ints 171.4 rating

Etling in 2017 had: 2463 yds 60% 16 TDs 2 Ints 153 rating

In all honesty Canada fielded an incredibly efficient offense. I wonder what our PPG would have been if we would have us a special teams coordinator....

Cannot disagree, but I have a feeling 2018 could be different despite coaching incompetence.

I'm sure it can be said for lots of teams but its magnified when you have a program of our caliber. When you are constantly ranked anywhere from top 10 to 15 in the preseason only to finish 20-25 or even unranked for 6 years straight you deserve the disrespect you get that starts coming at the beginning of the year. The disrespect will continue to come until we prove them wrong and win on the field. It's really that simple.

LSU has not proven to be an elite team recently. Losses to Troy, Miss State, and a loosing streak to Bama, coupled with the fact we have not had a QB for 10 years, shows why LSU is not getting a lot of credit.
