Why is an unranked team losing to an unranked team such a big topic for the national media

No one said we were supposed to be good yet they’re acting like we were a top 5 team

Because we are LSU. That used to mean something.

Because the national media is scared shitless that if and when BK gets going LSU is primed for a run like Bama’s. And, he shunned the media darling, Notre Dame.

Deep down they KNOW LSU has potential with Kelly as coach. Look at games back when O was coach.
Even on bad years (last two) we played Bama to the end. Yes 55-17 two years ago, but it was a LOT CLOSER than score reflected (should have been 24 with called back td in 2nd half). After that flood gates opened up. Last year was 6 points and a fluke play away. That’s ABSOLUTELY a threat this year and both teams know it.
AU and Arky last year were to wire. Thank God for 8&4, huh? With same result. We were a less losing version of Nebraska. If we start winning, anti-Kelly anti pro-O will shut up and then we will hear the real opposition come out “not LSU AGAIN!” THATS when you know it’s turned around for Kelly. In a way we are 90’s Miami right now…the villains. They’re hoping for incompetence, we are hoping to win

Even outside of the sports, media likes to paint a narrative they choose and drive it into the ground. In this case, “how could Kelly leave the northern liberal utopia of self fart smellers at Notre Dame and go backwards in time to a bunch of backwards swamp dwellers?!?”

If they are talking about LSU, apparently it still does?

But maybe not to fair weather fans and trolls.

It's LSU-FSU. Big name schools. It was the only game on. Primetime opening weekend. It was also a really dramatic game with a lot of controversial stuff to analyze.

News flash: The media likes all those things.

WTF does MSM liberalism have to do with sports outlets covering a really interesting college football game?

None at all. Some idiots on here just want to mix politics in sports and/or display their hate for a certain political party.

The media may be morons but they only give the people what the want. LSU and Kelly = ratings.

Trust me, I'm in Oklahoma and I've heard more LSU talk than OU talk since our loss on Sunday.
