Why I support Coach O': looking at the bright side

Excluding these last two years, at least the graduation rate should improve under Ed O considering there won't be nearly as many NFL caliber players ready by their junior/senior year. Most will need their degree one day, and what is LSU's job/priority anyway? What if King and Alleva are on to something and want to shift focus from football to academics?

Go cheer for Harvard! LSU is Louisiana's football team and we expect the absolute best on the football field! The rest will take care of itself.

from football to academics?
Football profit goes to academics each year. The better football is, the more they give to academics. Football cost academics NOTHING and supports academics.
So, if that is their thinking, they are as dumb as dirt and need to get canned fast.

This drive towards the greatness that was seen in '07 and '11 is making our fan base toxic--which is likely driving down ticket sales, ratings, etc. anyway.

We need a new identity and I believe we found it with
O. I mean the guy even played for LSU and has a personality we can all get behind.

It's a business that has become a big part of the BR economy which helps support many in the area and academics as well.

You do realize O fired a OC costing LSU financially. Don't think he would have done that after one year if the saw LSU football as just a game.

I support coach O too. Just don’t think he’s a great coach.

Orgeron signed to play football at Louisiana State University, but left the program after his first year to transfer to Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
