I'm genuinely asking.

He knows we need a change, went for the homerun hire, got turned down, didn't settle for a middle of the road coach so he kept Les. I'm a bit confused why he's the villain.

He got on stage 5 minutes after the game to appease the retarded masses.

There are others out there besides Jimbo. Keeping Miles should not have been a option. LSU looks like a bunch of dumbasses.

If the LSU administration is this big of a pussy over an overpaid FB coach, God help them if a Mizzou situation ever happens.

They will fricking cave like no tomorrow.

I'm upset at whoever leaked stuff to the media. You don't throw your current coach under the bus unless you're certain he won't be back. What they have done is create a ton of fodder for other coaches to use in the recruiting wars. Do you not see that? I'm not sure that's Alleva's fault or not .... the fault lies with whomever leaked the stuff about Miles being in trouble, the $15m was available for a buyout, Miles had to win his last 3 games, etc.

Is there any proof that Jimbo Fisher was actually offered the job?

Multiple reasons. He handled it poorly from the start. Instead of giving the usual show of support that most ADs give, he gave a noncomitant answer which allowed for this shite show to develop over the coming weeks.

Moreover, his plan b, well there was no plan b. He literally decided last night that les would come back. You think all of les' kids would be there if it wasn't going to be his last, you think he gets carried off if it wasn't going to be his last? No, it was a spur of the moment decision because he had no contingency plan.

He allowed our name to be dragged through the mud for weeks, negatively affected a great recruiting class, and left clouds of uncertainty that will make it difficult to hire quality coaching in the coming off season. So that's why alleva needs to go

Skip Bertman. Alleva just extended it after the last contract extension.

He's incompetent. The decision makers at LSU are incompetent, and arrogant. It's embarrassing.

They were so sure they had Jimbo. As if LSU can't get turned down or won't be played by agents for more money. Nah that can't happen to us, we're LSU, Jimbo wuuuuuvs us. And when that fell through, they had no backup plan. None.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that many of the people that post on this board are the decision makers. Because all of the Jimbo crap we heard from them jives with the way this played out.

Whatever you think of Les, he didn't deserve to be yanked around like that while the LSU AD publically window-shops for a new wife, all while still married. I also thought it was time for a change, but oh well, it didn't happen. Time to move on.

I will still cheer for Les and LSU because anything can happen. Sure it's highly probable that he'll roll out the same toss dive every week, but that was good enough to get us to a NC twice, so it's not impossible that he gets us there in a miracle season for his swan song.

Made this a few years ago. Still makes me mad to walk past all the empty tailgate spots on my way to the stadium.

He's the AD. Therefore, people will hate him no matter what he does.

It's not even just about this most recent fiasco. Alleva has been bad since he first got here.

I don't believe that line about going after Jimbo.
I think Alleva was waiting until this game so he could see which way the winds were blowing. He then took the safe route for his personal career, LSU be damned.
He doesn't have the balls to do anything that is risky for Joe Alleva.

I'm upset at Alleva for giving Les Miles a contract extension that essentially cripples LSU.

My problem with him is he should have said something instead of letting LSU get destroyed nationally for two weeks. Just say Miles is our coach and will continue to be our coach and we're ready for a great game this weekend blah blah. You can still work your deal behind the scenes but you cant leak a story and sit there in silence. I know his plan was he didnt care about the negativity because in the end he would be the hero who delivered Jimbo. But he got played and that made the entire approach wrong, very wrong.
