How do we know that the Texas, Rice and Nebraska's of the world WANT to come play a 3 game series here?

LSU is one of very few Baseball Programs that make money and these schools w/ smaller stadiums don't have as much clout as LSU does.

ONE good OOC series a year is fine w/ me......

A lot of these schools would come to play here, but they would also require a return trip. And the LSU AD has told Mainieri that for budget reasons (paying off the stadium, etc) we have to play a certain number of home games a year which doesn't allow us to travel for a non-conference series. It's not that we wouldn't like to play some of these teams home and away.

then i pointed out they made 8 errors, which you weren't aware of.
Wrong again. I went to every game. I saw every error. You assume too much which makes you look stupid.

Now you crawfish and say they were rusty and only practice indoors.
Why is that "crawfishing"? They did look rusty and they had only practiced indoors.

Were they a good defensive team?
They were a mediocre fielding team.

Your statement about LSU not having yet played a team which can field routine ground balls included teams other than HC. Why are you only focusing on their fielding?

Wake Forest committed five errors in their 3 games with LSU.

So, yes or no, can Wake Forest field routine ground balls?

had you went to every game you may have noticed they were a horrible defensive team.

because their fielding sucked. and when you give up 10 unearned runs in 3 games, you are not being challenged.

Wake Forest was not a good defensive team either. 3 errors in game 1 that accounted for 6 unearned runs, and they made 2 errors in game 3. That is bad defense. Who are you trying to kid?

Do you think that 5 errors is a small number because the great defense of Holy Cross made 8?

so no, Wake Forest cannot field routine balls. They were horrible on Friday night and kicked it around again on Sunday.

but they beat Minnesota and their coach donated a kidney!!!@#!#!#!

We should schedule Rice, Florida State, TCU, UCLA, Cal-State and Texas every year.

As a fan I would love to see LSU play those games just as I would like to see LSU play huge OOC football games each year. However I understand the reasoning for scheduling Holy Cross.

you play great teams when you're tryin to build a program to national credibility. we have that.

Tell that to Fullerton, Stanford, ASU, Rice, etc. But I am sure you will say none are on par with LSU.

LSU has played 7 games and in 6 of them the team has made 2 or more errors.

Yes, my statement did include all teams LSU has played. They have all been bad defensively.

but but but Holy Cross had a good SS.

Im pretty sure you do not understand the game of baseball if you think you are watching good defense.

I didn't say they played 'good defense' did I? You can't read. I said HC was mediocre. You said the teams LSU has played can't field routine ground balls, which is just another one of your Drama Queen exaggerations.

Do you think LSU can field routine ground balls?

lol damn you are pathetic

you're right, LSU has played respectable defensive teams who have made double digit errors in 6 of 7 games. Good defensive teams.

how could anyone think those are bad defensive teams. I really need to go to some coaches meetings i think

As you put it, let's try this again: Do you think LSU can field routine ground balls?

quote:

teams who have made double digit errors in 6 of 7 games.
That is not even close to being true. None of the teams LSU has played has made double digit errors in ANY game.

You've outdone yourself displaying your ignorance this time.......

i think being able to get fans out to the Box regardless who we play is a huge luxury, but it can also be sort of a curse, considering we dont have to have a good schedule to draw people to the park

why? In football some people can only afford to go to one game a season. With baseball there will be plenty of hot ticket games. There will be plenty of games where people will say hey we only have to pay 10 or 12 dollars and they end up going.

The program is one of the most elite in all of college baseball and we play in one of the best conferences.

We play "good teams" allllllllllllllll the freaking time.

Some need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Bump...I feel this discussion is especially pertinent given the committees decision today, and the reasons they gave.
