I realize rules are rules but how on earth can a university stop or police a player from taking $?

If it came to light, sure you run the player off and report it.

Players know better, no doubt it's drilled into their head. But they sure aren't going to tell the coaches so I just don't see it fair that a school gets penalized.

And to somewhat soften the blow from some of you who are about to chastise me for starting another thread on this topic.........screw Johnny Jones and Tim Quarterman both. And Joe Alleva.

Haha. I like it. Aware that the new thread wasn't needed, but did it anyway.

We'll be fine. LSU does a pretty decent job of policing itself, and it's not like Johnny Jones was raping little boys in the team showers.

Nothing will happen to LSU because they will remove Joe Alleva for cultivating this culture.

I don’t think they will. When a player has dealings with an agent it affects their eligibility. Remember Marquis Hill in football had either communication with or maybe even signed with an agent. After he thought about it he decided he wanted to come back for his senior season but he was declared ineligible

The athletic director has nothing to do with improprieties happening in his department? Interesting. What a job.

This is between agents and players that probably happens a lot for various reasons. Unless the school was involved in the payment process I don't see how it is the schools fault. It is probably a lot of noise about nothing.
