Why do they keep calling roll-outs to the right for left handed QB's?

I saw it several times with McMillan and Narcisse Saturday. Making a left handed QB roll-out to the right and throw back across his body. I've seen it before in past spring games with JM too. Playcallers need to recognize who's in the game and roll-out to the QB's left side if they're LH.

It might have something to do with which side of the field the play is designed to go to.

It's pretty common to ask a QB to be able to roll out to either side.

The one roll out left by Narcisse I remember was a sack. He actually had time to drop the ball over the rusher to his RB in the flat, but he panicked and got touched/ball stripped or deflected.

theres alot of that done in season by lots of teams. It breaks tendencys and makes them cover the whole field. All the plays that do that prolly have the same play flipped in the playbook ..its good to practice attackng the defense all over the field and in different ways and levels

The goal is to become less predictable, not more predictable. If the right handed QBs only rolled out to the right and lefties vice versa, that would be dumb. The offense needs to be able to play both sides of the field, not just one based on the dominant hand of the QB.

Are y'all really this fricking moronic, or do you put forth a special effort on the Rant to be this fricking moronic?

If a team is going to roll the QB, it has to do it to both sides.

If a team is going to run the option, it has to do it to both sides.

P.S. A short-side option set up the winning FG in the GOTC.

Wish I could be there to remind you of this comment if you have to deal with an elderly loved one.

And don't come back with a "just joking" comment.

who gives a shite. you don't routinely run that play short-side....it allows the sideline to become a limiting factor.

Now GFY!
