Why did T.K. McLendon transfer?

It seemed like he was going to be a starter at a position of great need, and then he suddenly left. Anyone know why that happened?

On a related note, why did Kelvin Joseph transfer? Sure, he may have lost his “starting” spot to Stingley, but a 3rd CB is practically a starter.
Furthermore, Joseph was with the team in the spring & part of the fall camp and saw a preview of what that team was gonna be! I can’t believe foolish pride was the culprit.

McLendon and Thomas were talked up in the offseason as starting ends. Funny how it works out.

Dude would probably be a seasoned starter this year, in his money year, in a program that has consistently put its top eligible CB into the NFL as a first or second rounder.
