What dumbass thought it was a good idea to move the student section behind the goal. Only time you see them is when they are shooting free throws on that side. It would make the Pmac more exciting if they go back to the way it used to be.

It's been like that the last few years but I don't like the setup. When I see other games on espn they always have the student section in the middle.

They moved it when students stopped showing up consistently and it left a bug gap at center center, in seats that could be sold to season ticket holders whether they show up or not.

I thought Alleva moved it there because he said Duke has it’s students behind the goal, and he liked the way Duke does things better.

They did it while I was a student, I think 2010. Behind the basket is the worst seat in all of sports, you can’t see shite.

It's not for tv dummy. You can make more money on sideline seats so why let students sit there for free? Student quit caring so they moved them and sold to season ticket holders.

In all fairness they haven't exactly had a coach that gave damn either so don't blame the students.

So that they can sell more sideline seats. Whenever you get the urge to ask why they do something, your 1st thought ought to go to $$$.

1. 75% of student seats were empty for 75% of the games. Prime seats unused by students.

2. LSUMBB seat income increased quite a bit when those sideline seats were released to people who actually will pay for them and attend.

3. Moving the band up was a good move. Now we need to move the press up top and let the students have those lower seats.

Nope, 100% sure it was in the middle in 08/09 when I was a freshman, 99.9% sure it was in the middle in 09/10, and then 100% sure it was behind the basket in 2010/11.

I remember there were a few bleachers close to the floor in the middle behind press row you had to be super early to get a spot in 08 and then it was very easy to get a spot there in 09 when they sucked.

My photographic memory remembers my first game behind the basket was vs Nicholls State and Anatoly Bose which I googled was 11-16-2010.

Still want to argue? Ha, my memory is ridiculous sometimes.

Here’s a pic from that game

Because they could charge people a lot more for those sideline seats than students

Whether it was in 2010 or not, watching the games on TV looks like LSU is performing for a retirement community! I totally get the $$$ behind the move, but that's an administration problem, not the students. If you hire sucky coaches who coach and recruit sucky teams, you can't blame the students for losing interest. Now you hire a coach with a pulse to coach and recruit in a place that looks like a small market NBA team, he is stuck with your decisions of trying to squeeze every dollar out of a bad situation. Our venue is Definitely the opposite of Duke or an NC!
