Why can't we get freshmen QBs that can play right away?

Is it something in the Baton Rouge waters?
Can't help but feel that we have wasted great RB, WR and defensive talent the last 10 years.
Every year come playoff time I feel awful about the mediocrity of the LSU football program. We are all talk and rah rah, with nothing to show for it.

Coach E can't even get the WR's to accept audibles. You think he can develop an 18 year old QB?

Cause QB coaching has been piss poor for a long time. Combined with a shitty offensive scheme, it's really hard for a seasoned QB, let alone a freshman.
Other schools have been doing it for years, LSU coaching has been incapable of doing the same.

Nope players like Lawrence are born with this talent. How much do you think Vlenson really can coach a freshman up?

So many say freshman can't play in the SEC.. especially at QB..

Clemson’s OL is playing great. Williams has made a couple nice plays in run defense for Bama but he hasn’t done anything with pass rush

We haven’t had a true 5-Star QB since Perrileux(sp?), and he was a decade ago and a bust!

Well Lawrence is one of the highest rated QB recruits of all time. #6 all time rated recruit at any position.

It’s a mindset. LSU doesn’t have it. LSU has been playing scared, play not to lose football for 10+ years.

Another thread stating the same thing but ignoring the obvious, what recent LSU QB was good enough to start as s freshman? Hell, we don’t even have a freshman QB this year because Canada couldn’t recruit one.
