Because any idiot can win 10 games at LSU.

Oh wait maybe that doesnt compute. Im not sure how that works. Lets see or maybe the last guy wasnt an idiot after all. Shoot who knows, all this math and common sense is confusing.

Expectations for next year are going to be determined by how the team finishes out this year and who leaves early.

Wow. Really? So it's possible that the expectations for each year get continually lower. Interesting.

I actually would not have been upset with 8 wins this year. Coaching changes cause turmoil. Nothing you can do about that. What I am upset about however is the fact that Moo State made us look like a high school team and we damn near lost to Syracuse. I never expected us to win a championship this year but I did expect us to be competitive. Had we lost to Moo State by 10 or less, I would have just chalked that up to the coaching changes and some lack of depth. But there is no excuse for LSU to ever be beaten that badly by State.

Nope, it was to change the offense. Guess what? A new OC was hired. Sorry, your narrative is crumbling.

Nope. O's statement at the end of last season was, "but next season, things are going to be different. We’re going to be in it (College Football Playoff).’”
So who's changing the narrative? Sounds like O is changing it now that he actually has the job and can't fulfill the expectations.

Thank you. These people are very delusional/dishonest. They will try to deceive at every turn. We all see 0 for who he really is, a fraud

CEO is Cajun. Miles was not. That is what it all boils down to.

21-0 followed by 4.3 straight seasons of under performing teams with seemingly no willingness to change anything didn't help either.

So now we are OK with 8 to 9 win seasons. Those type of seasons got Miles fired.

Since you know what everyone else is thinking why don't apply for the OC job? Imagine the play calling...

I did. They turned me down on some bull shite excuse that it would be unfair.

some people have enough common sense to see that it takes time to implement a new scheme and the mature talent on this team is thin

It actually doesn't take much time to implement a new scheme. If it does, it's the wrong scheme, given college teams' hourly limit on practices.

That's just another excuse.

10 wins don't mean much when they're padded with cupcakes and shitty bowl wins.

The SEC, particularly the West, is what really matters.

And the "last guy" was 15-11 in the SEC, 10-10 against the West, his last 3+ years. All with elite recruiting.

No, some people choose to face the reality and not cry about this season like little babies. This year will not be what we want nor were the previous 6. This year was going to happen not matter what. Miles and only Miles left this roster in this state. Maybe Ed O isn't the guy but he at least will not keep going in the direction Elmer Fudd was. Just face this is the least talented team LSU has had in years try not to have a mental breakdown over it. It's just a game.

totally agree .. some just need to go to their "safe space" for a while

You saw all the empty seats the other night at the game.

We will all go to our safe place and attendance will keep getting worse and worse.
So make all the jokes you want about safe place.
The joke will be on the LSU when people quit spending money on the institution.

Most of the tickets have been sold for a while... whether they show up or not will hardly affect revenues.
Also, consider the opponents at home so far (away from opener)...
Chattanooga, Syracuse and Troy .. do you really expect to have full attendance ?

This seems to be the trite assertion of the week but it's ultimately unknowable.
