Woody. He's got a way about him to have under achieving coaches seek retirement.

God bless The Wood!

The only thing that saves CPM’s job is a trip to the CWS, anything short of that and it won’t matter. Like another poster said, it isn’t up to him.

They don’t want to fire CPM, but they will if he doesn’t retire watch and see.

Yep he was done and then Shaq said give that man the respect he deserves after we beat a pedestrian A&M team and some of the 92K in Tiger stadium clapped for him and the morons decided to keep his sorry a$$ for one more year.
(I’m not bitter)

Have you watched him in the dug out or walking out to the mound? Dude is in constant pain.

The AD lost $80M last year, Manieri is not going anywhere unless he wants to. Accept it.

LSU has other issues to deal with.

Well then LSU is going to have to figure out a way to make him want to go because his coaching over the last 4 seasons hasn't been enough (including the short year last year).

Linked is a six month old story discussing the pain he has had over the last few years. Will it make him retire - unknown at this time.

You sure that's not from watching this team play?

Paul has an ego. He isn't going to leave easily.

Better win at least 1 or 2 games at TAMU. IF Pulmonary is stuck at 1499, he ain't going anywhere, and Woodward won't have the balls to do what needs to be done.

Anyone that does this automatically loses any credibility they might have had, otherwise.

The SEC just handed out $23 million to each of the schools to help with reduced covid revenue. We will be fine.

I wouldn't really point to 2017 as a bad coaching job on his part

Again you keep incorrectly thinking it was his coaching that got LSU to the championship. Despite his pathetic strategy goofs that year the talented players nearly won it all. Did you even watch games that year because I watched a ton.

Because we like to dream.....but he won't retire..
He is as stubborn as LES was on changing the offense...baseball has passed CPM by...the fans see it but he refuses to accept the fact...so we are stuck with him untill the end of 2024...unfortunately

Why does he catch hell when the teams are shitty, but gets no credit when they are good?

It's the way of the rant. Same thing happens in other sports.

Lots of smoke from lots of people that usually know these things. Everything I’ve heard from people I believe is that it’ll be a closed door forced retirement with full buyout and they’ll tell the public it was all Paul’s decision and he’ll remain an integral ambassador for LSU athletics going forward.

It's crazy what we'll do to appease the soccer moms.
