Why all the disrespect for coach O from alledged LSU fans?

I can understand disagreeing with a coaching decision but this goes way beyond that to down right hate for the man. Are these people really LSU fans?

It's not just one decision and it's not just O.
For me, it's really higher than him. He was just a beneficiary of higher up incompetence.
King - More worried about politics than winning.
Alleva - Prone to making rash decisions (Duke lacrosse, getting butthurt over Herman, etc.)
If either of those men was remotely competent, O would not be a HC. I really like him as a DL coach and recruiter.

For me personally it’s not O, it’s the man and group that hired him. They may potentially have to make the next hire.

I am a huge LSU fan. Been an LSU fan since I was a little kid. Even graduated from the Ole War Skule in the 80’s! Just not convinced that O is a good coach. Actually think he sucks as a HC.

I think the short answer is respect is earned. I would say both on and off the field, O hasn't done much to earn a whole of lot of respect in either arenas as a head football coach.

He was 3-21 in the SEC in his previous gig, he is running away a solid coach and he was hired by a mumbling idiot. Not everything is negative, but to this point LSU has done more for him than he has for LSU. Respect is something you earn you don’t ask for.

I guess because the guy has been a bit of a hard arse as of late. I don't know if the fighting with Canada rumors is true, seems farfetched, but it is apparent they don't get along. Now he doesn't wanna hire Austin Thomas back because of feeling a lil didtrust in him trying to lure Traore over to Tenn, all of this is rumors of course, but....
