Well a good coach could.

How do you explain Herman coming in and immediately getting the #3 class after LOSING SEASONS.

Orgeron can't get a top 10 class after nothing but winning seasons for years.

But yeah it's Les's fault.

I’m not talking about Surtain’s recruitment. I’m talking about the state of the program & what needs to be done to make it as attractive as it once was.

no matter how critical you want to be of Les (and lord knows i was that guy for over a decade), hiring O was basically the worst way to stabilize the variables you're posting about. it lowered our status dramatically, made it look like we were going cheap, said that championships don't matter, and destroyed our attractiveness

Aranda is the next... coach O better win next season or it's in the works...Or perhaps somebody else but it will happen and Saban is not long at Alabama either...

Cause one out of state prospect wanted to play for the greatest program in cfb history?

The class was 85% full up until today, 1 guy isn’t making or breaking anything. Keep melting tho

pretty much every discussion about our mediocre class this year was met with "when we sign Surtain" responses

with this sort of "3 star" class, he matters a great deal

guess every other program except Bama should pack it in too right? Jesus you fricks are miserable.

Ummm many other programs can claim championships in either conference or nationally in the last 10 years hell even playoff berths. That's a lot of teams. You can keep letting O and staff drag their nuts across your face in satisfaction though.

I still really like this class. Last year he focused on rebuilding the lines & LB Corp . We have a lot of great returning talent.

We’ll learn at lot more in year 2. Surtain choosing Bama does not bury O, nor would it have “made” him. It’s 1 player. Message boards do a funny thing to people’s perception

Surtain to Alabama is admissible. However any Louisiana kid that goes to Bama is dead to me. Why would you go the safe route instead of representing your home state ? Why go from the most integrated state in the country to the most racist state like Alabama that is still putting up statues while we tear them down ? If u are from Louisiana and go to Bama stay in gump villa for life with no culture.

And Chase, and Kelvin Joseph. And several of our 3 stars are now 4 stars. Guys with clear future nfl potential

It’s 1 player.

it's one player but we desperately need CBs (both next year and 2020) and due to our bumbling of the PS recruitment, we whiffed

washington and goodrich would be a great consolation duo. we are signing neither of them

it's not just the miss on PS2. it's the lack of a backup plan

Yeah, but do they win SEC championships, or even SEC West championships?

Bull shite. Gerry Freaking DiNardo took over after 6 losing seasons and landed the #1 recruit in the nation in Faulk along with Booger Todd McClure and some others. He went 10-2 in year 2. Saban of course landed an all time class in 2001 and won the SEC in year 2.

Les had his faults, things were stale and change was needed, but this idea that he left this terrible floundering program that will takes years to repair is completely false, repeated by O backers and Miles haters. His last 2 classes in 15 and 16 were ranked #5 and #2 and included 10 OL. 15 was too light on DL but 16 had 9 DL/LB and 4 OL.

You cant be serious right now

5 NATIONAL championships since 2009 and you're gonna be butthurt about them not winning the SEC a couple times?
