Cheetah

quote:

Chaisson has shown to be a respected pass rusher in Key's place through the first two games this season, and now both can rush from the edges in the third-down "Cheetah" package put in by Aranda this season.

That package is designed to put as much speed on the field as possible by subbing a defensive lineman with either a nickel corner or a fourth linebacker
.

And this type of flexibility is why we will beat the brakes off of State this year.

Bama better hope they develop a running game that doesnt depend on Hurts.

I think everybody in the country is looking for the cheetah package including Mississippi state. After the media for wind of that term they put it in every article that could. So much for surprise attacks.

The element of surprise is irrelevant if you can't stop it anyway.

My gut is telling me Ed Paris has the game of his life against state this year for some reason . He will be the Dwayne Thomas of this years defense .

Sounds kinda dirty....

Is this similar to the bandit package we put in for Florida in 97.

I like it. Corey Thompson has been a monster off the edge this year so far.

Seeing Key and Chaisson line up on the weak side of the line will make a lot of QB's audible into a run, 3rd and 20 be damned.
