1. Mike Bianco: If his Ole Miss team goes to Omaha and wins the title, I expect he’s going to be our baseball head coach in a month.

If not him, who would you want to replace CPM?

I mean anything is possible I guess but Mike Bianco isn't winning the title.

Tim Tadlock or Dan McDonnell

Funny thing is if Bianco comes to LSU, Drew Bianco has to transfer. Lol.

Again, Bianco has been at Ole Miss over 15 years and has 1 CWS appearance. How is his record better than Mainieri's?

Woodward isn't replacing Mainieri. He may ask him some tough questions about his coaching staff or recruiting but Paul is not on his hot seat.

Tadlock would easily be number 1 on my list.

FYI, this is not like Football where there are only a handful of viable candidates. There are a thousand baseball coaches who can do this job.

Pick someone who inspires and motivates. Then we hand him the brand of LSU with the amazing fans and player-alumni support, We have great analytics programs in place now, we don’t need someone who’s done it for 30 yesss.

Let’s get one thing straight- Paul’s not getting fired this year. He’s going to be the coach in 2020.

Tim Tadlock and Kevin O’Sullivan would be at the top of my list though.

Turned us down before he even became a regular in Supers or won a National Championship.

I'm quite sure most of you don't know dick about any of these coaches or college baseball, in general.

East Carolina coach, Godwin
Clemson’s coach
Holliday for Ok. St.
Tadlock
O’Connor
Schlossnagle
McDonnell
Lovelady
Mike Bell
Lemonis
Michigan’s coach

There’s other coaches out there that are better. Many other coaches that could come in and do just as well as sweet lips.

I know I wouldn't.

#1 Better location
#2 Scholarship advantages
#3 Expectations at LSU will be higher

Possibly more money and a new challenge would be the only plusses in LSU's favor!

I’ve heard Dan McConnell multiple times on the radio up here in Nashville and he has brought LSU up out of the blue as to what Louisville’s program aspires to be. Like absolutely gushes. He’d definitely listen but would need to be the highest paid coach in baseball

Hypothetically you only get him if PM retires

If you fire him which won’t happen, Cannizzaro is the easy choice as you won’t have to pay him much while you still pay off PMs contract

I think outside the personal baggage Cannizzaro could be a great hire. He's just a PR problem that would to tarnish the Lilly white image of LSU baseball.

I personally don't care about his off the field crap. I bet he's learned from his mistakes and will likely become a better person for it. As far as his ability to coach, he's EXACTLY what LSU needs.

#1 Young
#2 Charismatic
#3 Can coach hitters
#4 Has some experience and success in the SEC

No shite. We want to fire a coach that makes the supers 90% of the time.

Do you really need to be told the difference in the programs? Bianco has built OM into a very good SEC program. I am not saying I want Bianco but I would expect him to have better results than PM has had at LSU. What did PM do prior to LSU...1 trip to Omaha is what he did.
