At work today a buddy asked me who I thought would win between a Saban coached LSU team and a Saban coached Bama team. Just wanted to see what you guys thought about it. I know I'll catch hell for this kind of post mid-season but this really had me thinking.

Would probably be a tie because Saban doesn’t lose.

Depends, It would probably be easier to put a LSU team year vs Bama team year.

LSU in 2003 vs Bama in 2014 for instance. LSU for that one

Neutral site? Does the team that finishes first in recruiting every single year have more talent?

Probably the tie breaker

Yea that makes a lot more sense. He asked me this and my mind just went numb for a sec.

Bama, assuming that we are referencing the program as it is today. He's built a machine there that far surpasses anything he did at LSU.

Well remember Saban was only here for 5 seasons so we would need to at least do an apples to apples comparison. I would take the 03 LSU team over Bama's 09.

Saban only loses when his team beats themselves
So it’ll work out well

Yeah pick a few conditions, like the 03 LSU vs one of the Saban Championship years with Bama. Include where the game would be played as well.

To get it as close as possible time-wise and playing style wise I'd make it between 03 LSU and 09 Bama in the Superdome

Another reason to match up with the 09 Bama squad

It's a hard comparison. I think Saban is a better coach now than he was when he was at LSU.

How about an Ed O Ole Miss team vs an Ed O LSU team?

Saban Bama team would win. You have to figure in the strong Bama referee bias.
