I guarantee you Saban doesn’t feel as strongly as his players do about this, but he likes recruiting, and this is all part of his ploy.

These guys should get a non-media doctor in there and be explained on their ever so minuscule risk category associated with this.
Additionally, think Stevens and Deculus are really good players, but at this point are borderline round 2 picks and could possibly double their investment by coming back this year. Neither will put up ridiculous numbers at the combine to shoot them in the first round should they sit out.

This would make zero sense. I definitely get Chase and somewhat get Shelvin as the transition to the 4-3 could have actually hurt him, in addition to the fact he is probably a first round lock if his weight is right come combine time, but these two aren’t first rounders and could gain a lot by playing and putting some more film out especially with conferences not playing they could jump some guys on those teams.

The opt outs are just using covid as a cover except maybe Farrell. It was money with Chase, pt with Vincent, discipline with Shelvin. We may see more opt outs but it wont be people worried about covid.

This years draft will be an incredible crapshoot with half of the players having no JR or SR season tape. If you had good tape ala Chase you can stand behind it and put up good numbers at the combine.
If you have so-so tape As a So Jr, those players playing this year could shoot up draft boards with a solid season.

People want to use covid as an excuse, but it's funny how 90+ percent of the opt outs this year have been projected top two round picks. This doesn't have ahit to do with covid. The vast majority of these kids are using it as a cover to not have to go to school.
How many of these opt out kids do you think will attend a party or a big gathering at least once this season?
I don't have a problem with them doing what's best for them, nor do I have a problem with them using this as a cover to opt out. Hell, a couple just blatantly say they are doing it to prepare for the draft.

If Stevens or Deculus opt out it is about something else. Both need more film to boost stock and neither will come back for another year.
