Burrow played a perfect mediocre game... will take those stats any day without any big mistakes. Auburn had to play guys close as hell on that last drive. Burrow keeping those 2 balls in frame with the receiver and corner helped draw those calls. I could hardly watch that 4th down and Burrow put it on th money. I’m sipping a nice big glass right now.

Burrow is an above average QB with excellent decision making skills and the ability to stay cool under pressure. Is he the next Tom Brady or heisman candidate like many were proclaiming before he even took a snap? Hardly. However, we can win with him and he can improve.

Burrow has not turned the ball over and 2 of our games were against very solid defenses that are very capable of causing turnovers.

No, he is not the type of QB that can win a game on his own abilities. He’s not a dynamic play maker. But he has a high football IQ and will not be the sole reason you lose a game.

Some of those throws down the field were wounded ducks, but he got the job done and he looks like Jim Breuer.

I’ll take solid and reliable (Matt Mauck and Jacob Hester) any day of the week... 2 of the best Tigers ever IMO.

Joe has only been with this team for, what, a few mths.over all. And this only his third start. Too, his WR corp is not exactly dripping with experience. 99% of LSU fans were thrilled this morning when they woke up. And your first comment is a negative one?

If we could put Brennans arm on him or his brain in brennans dome we would have our own version of Tua

Brennan’s arm on Burrow. Burrow is a pretty big dude. Brennan, not so much.

I remember when we were talking about we only need a game manager to win it all. This is the PERFECT game manager for us. He protects the ball, he routinely completes short to intermediate routes, and he makes the right reads and in-game checks.

So, his completion percentage sucks. That's about the only knock you can have on him at this point. I wasn't frustrated with the play calling or with Burrow at all during the game. That's really rare. Auburn has a really good defense. They're going to win matchups.

But, we finally have that QB we've been looking for.
