I know it’s too early for this talk, but who takes over for White next season? He’s a projected top 10 pick in the draft, and I doubt he stays (would be incredible if he did) but that being said, who moves into that MLB slot after this season? #6?

Jacob Phillip's literally no question. no body will say it out loud but he's more important to our defense than white is

I wouldn’t go that far. Without white, our defense would be much different. He’s an incredible run stopper, good in coverage, and is an overall beast. The same could be said about Phillips next year, but White has incredible instincts and is physically more imposing.

Phillips and Baskerville

Baskerville will be better next year. He already got the nod over queen in the Florida game.

He has really good instincts just needs to get a bit stronger and more reps.

He and queen will likely rotate though

I do think without Phillips that White is not as effective. Phipps missed Florida game, did you see results? White is one of the best middle linebackers around but I think they both feed off reach other. If you sit and watch game Phillips eats a lot of those blocks that White was eating yesterday in beginning of game. And

People forget that every few years we reload at ML. Look at past seasons same questions asked . Will say White very physical.

Baskerville backs up Phillips

Queen backs up White

they could cross train them i guess this offseason, but when White leaves the game Queen comes in, and same with Baskerville for Phillips.

Don’t they really like Clark, too? Will be interesting to see if Taylor comes back, but I doubt it. I know he’s an OLB, but are they just gonna go ahead and redshirt Thornton? How many games has he been able to play?

White will be missed, he leads that unit. There are a few guys with great talent who will make plays next year.

So do you think they don’t know both spots? I would highly doubt that
