I kind of feel like the whole thing has jumped the shark. Not just for LSU, but college baseball in general. That was a big, clutch hit. So I understand the celebration in that situation. But the guys flexing and posing for a double in the first inning of a 0-0 game seems a bit ridiculous.

Frick those guys. Thompson was shoveling the grave that they’re about to get put in.

That seems more logical.

Hey good news bear, ur ridiculous, let the kids be kids and celebrate big moments. God knows there’s no shortage of armchair coaches here that would shite all over them if they went 0fer.

As long as it is short lived and similar among all the players, I am just fine with it.

If it involves staring down the opponent, or being an a-hole versus good natured fun..I dont really like that.

But if you want to have 3 seconds of fun with your team a few times a game...We have 3 hours to get it in. We have time.

I bet you are a blast at parties. God forbid teammates celebrate with each other on their successes. It’s not like they are acting like douche bags towards the other teams like Tennessee typically does.

while i initially agreed with this, because i'm old now.......i realized how hard baseball is\was. i never got out of the jr college ranks. i can imagine playing for LSU, stroking a double in the 8th for the lead, or to leadoff the game, and either way, i'd be pumped as shite!!!!!

shovel y'alls asses off all weekend! in fact, chicken needs to add a shoveling shite emoji with an lsu helmet on it.

Hey, I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to do it. Do whatever you want. But the circumstances of when you do it lend itself to whether it is ridiculous or not. Hit a HR and stand in the box a second to admire it? Nothing wrong with that. Celebrate with your teammates as you cross home plate. Of course. Get a bases clearing double in the bottom of the 8th to take the lead in a big game? I don't see how any player/team wouldn't show some emotion after that. But pimping a double in the 1st inning of a 0-0 game? You kind of look like a goofball.

I did not see him do that in the FIRST inning. Was that a thing? It appeared to me to be like a running joke with his teammates. I saw the one in the 8th and I was laughing almost uncontrollably. Not a thing wrong there.

Oh you must not like Tommy White. He stares down the opponent so intensly that I feel scared watching on TV.

He stroked that double on the first pitch of a top 10 matchup, against the 2nd best ace in the country. He crossed his arms and leaned back looking at his dugout. Legit 1 sec of time between himself and his teammates. Nothing to see here AT ALL.

I also have nothing wrong with Skenes doing the eject sign with his throwing hand and telling the Tenners to get the frick outta here after a strike out. That’s just bc he’s OUR Skenes tho lmao.
