Beating South Alabama would be a decent RPI coup.

LSU. Making a run in the NIT jumpstarts next year for the Fighting Tigers.

Regardless of what takes place tonight, ULL will still be ULL next year and that has to hurt.

It depends. If we win, it was our Game of the Century and LSU didn't care.

I'd say it means more to the Cajuns, but it's dumb to act like this game means nothing for LSU.

It's win or go home basketball and there's valuable experience to be gained for next year.

It depends. If we (ULL) win, it was our Game of the Century and LSU didn't care.

First, this is the NIT, not the NCAA. Therefore it’s nobody’s big deal.

Second, it would be a step in the right direction for the new LSU staff. Not critical, but nice. A deep run would be very helpful.

Third, it would nice for ULL as well, normally. But Bob Marlin‘s temper-tantrum increased it’s importance for ULL. If they loose both he and the Cajuns will look like total arse-clowns. A win against big brother only really blows sunshine up the Ooh-LA-La’s skirts. To be really important they must also go deep.

We need to beat USL so they remember that they’re just the red headed step child.
