Who cares if 2019 was a one off?

In 2011 LSU had, arguably, the best LSU football team ever to play a down. In the midst of that season, I really thought it was a team of destiny. There was one team in the country that could beat us that year, and we had to play them twice.

At the time, I remember feeling like that was our one shot at perfection, and we would never reach that threshold again.

Fast forward 8 years to 2019. I thought we were going to be good in 2019, but not anything near what that season turned into. I didn't think anything could ever repair the scar left by the 2011 squad.

Not only was 2019 the best LSU team ever, but quite possibly the best college football team in collegiate history. Even now it's surreal.

Yes last year burned a little, and I don't want to live through any more of those 5-5 seasons. But I am so happy that I got to see the 2019 LSU Tigers play football.

I had waited my entire life to see that "flash in the pan", and it was much more than I had imagined. I'm so happy to trade in all those years of mediocrity, for that one perfect season.

2019 is the best year of my life so far. One year before corona shut down and LSU won it all

LSU has won three NC's in this new century, under the leadership of three different head coaches. I do not see us winning NC's as flukes.

The insane numbers of 2019 won't ever be duplicated but it was not a one off. LSU is capable of winning another natty. This isn't NC State. Recruiting has been very very good the last two cycles too so it won't be very long

If LSU can recruit elite, top 5 every year, and get good to great coaching. They can win another.

Im very happy with 2019, I do expect us to be in The conversation at the end of the season and not go 5-5 and lose to Missouri.

So let's fire O and get on down the road

Yes 2001 SEC title and Sugar Bowl, 2003 Nc, 2007NC, 2011 SEC NC runner up...2019 a fluke. Now tell that to UGA (1980 only NC), ole Miss last SEC 1963, MSU,UK,A&M,SC, Vandy, UT, etc etc we are the second best D1 team of 2000’s and it ain’t close..fluke 2019..sure...

The 1972 Dolphins say hi. Have there been other good Dolphins teams? Absolutely. They'll always have '72 though.

You guys ever think about had those lockdowns came a few months earlier? Can you imagine having a team like that without a title game to play in? Consider that, whenever you think you don't get any breaks.

THIS. I don't understand how some feel LSU is a flash in the pan. Even ESPN recognizes LSU as a borderline blue blood of college football. The only constant obstacle that's stood in our way in Alabama and Nick Saban, and the midget has stood in the ways of MANY. Next to Alabama, LSU is as good as it gets.

Well...I thought that was understood. The best team in college football history only happens once

Now that I've seen perfection, I'm okay to go out like that.

Beating the Gaytors and knocking them out of the playoff picture was my moral victory last year to salvage out a shiteey season.

2019 will never be duplicated in my book. Dominance in the SEC Championship, Playoffs and NC. Not to mention almost every major individual award.
