Which football loss was more gut-wrenching: 1994 Auburn or 1998 Alabama?

As a younger fan, 2005 Tennessee was pretty damn awful.

For me was the Bama 98 game. It was senoir day for Kevin Faulk, Booger McFarland, and Herb Tyler and we haven’t beaten Bama at home since 1971. We kept kicking field goals and Wade freaking Richey sucked arse and we let Bama score late in the game. They recover the onside kick and Robert Davis tipped the ball in the air and Bama we catches it for the touchdown. I couldn’t believe we were about to beat Bama finally winning 16-7 with a few minutes left in the game to lose it at the end.

On the auburn 94 game, I have never seen my dad so mad as a kid lol.

94 Auburn by far for me, but in retrospect if we had won that, Curley may get another year

Yes, that stung but please don't tell me you didn't see that coming a mile away on the last drive. Our D was spent and if TJ didn't take that screen to the house, they would have scored a play or two later.

4 ints all returned for touchdowns. Lynn Amedee should have been fired the next day. That game is still in my nightmares.

What made the 2005 Tennessee game so awful is that we were totally in command and completely imploded after halftime. We made Rick Clausen look like Peyton Manning.

94 Auburn without a doubt in my view. Brought this up in the thread about 80s and 90s games. In addition to losing in unbelievable fashion, it was looking like we may turn the corner after 5 straight losing seasons, and on the road against an opponent that was on a huge winning streak. LSU had absolutely dominated that game. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a team lose that way before or since.

Of the choices, 94 Auburn. It was just incredible that we kept throwing the ball.

The 94 Auburn game.

I was working in Tuscaloosa at that time. We had a company picnic that afternoon and a tent was set up to watch the game (I think BAMA might have had a bye that weekend). The BAMA fans were enjoying LSU beating up on Auburn, but when Auburn starting catching up - me in my purple shirt was the center of attention.

2014 Alabama

LSU needed that one, they played well enough to win and the officials injected themselves into the game just in time to save Bama's asses.

I swear, that entire crew shoulda been fricking fired for that call on Alexander.
