I kinda think he’s determined to go this year.

if all healthy LSU team is in ncaa tournament. Guys get to show vs other good players in pressure scene.
one or two nobodies will earn getting drafted. One or two will move way up.

he tested the waters (ptp). If he was that anxious last year, there's no way he comes back. I don't think he will make a team, but he can certainly play a lot overseas.

No one on this team is pro ready. That being said, it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if we lose 3 underclassmen after this year.

Probably a 2nd rounder if I had to guess?
Yeah, no.

Do me a favor and go look at mock drafts right now. Not only this, but Wade and him have said he will be a one and done... this happens every single year with guys who under perform, but are 5 stars and still leave. Just saying, but alright lol.

I never said he wouldn’t leave. I’m just pointing out that he doesn’t seem like a first round talent.

I hope he's learning foreign languages. He's not in the top 90 guys in the aggregate consensus I just posted.

I agree he’s been off, but he most likely still leaves and that’s just where we are at. He would greatly benefit from a second year, but it’s gonna be tough to get him back.

Waters is kindve a mix between Tyler Ullis and Shabazz Napier. Ullis was taken 34th overall, Napier 24th so if he’d come out this year, depending on who els is in the draft of course, he’ll probly go in between those spots.

With his height he realistically may not get drafted. There’s only 2 rounds and there aren’t a whole lot of NBA teams looking for a 5’9” guard. He is an incredible college player but there’s no guarantee he’d be drafted

If wade could get him back for another year I would be ecstatic about our team next year. But I have a feeling with Tremont testing the water last year he might have his heart set on playing pro even if that means other options outside the NBA if he cant stick.

He’s a great college player that I dont think will stick in the NBA. He’s a 2nd round pick at best IMO . Non Guaranteed contracts for that round. To be as small and slight as he is will be his downfall. Wish he would stay another year and get stronger in his lower body and developed more strength. It sucks that he went to the camps last year. Now he’s got to leave after this year because you know he’s going again.I suspect he could have a long career overseas if he chooses.

I absolutely believe he can be a 1st rounder if he continues his hot play. He can do anything he wants with the ball, drive inside, his shots have been falling. Get his ft % up and cut down on some turnovers. He will definitely end up in the NBA after hes done at LSU barring injury or severe drop in play

He was replying to someone about Naz.

Naz and Waters are both gone after this season.

I'd honestly say that it's 50/50 that he goes this year. If he makes a big smash in the tournament, that could lift his stock enormously, but people will still talk about his size disadvantage.

Unfortunately NBA teams will take one look at his height and won't take him. Even if he absolutely kills it the rest of this season, his ceiling is still like mid 2nd round

He should come back, but who knows

And to the people that think he'd play overseas and not even get a shot in the NBA, I'm not so sure he doesn't make the back of a bench somewhere from day 1. When he's on he can be a great player, and a pure point guard that can pass and score, but most importantly hustles and brings in energy plays like steals. Those scrappy little dudes make rosters, even if they're 5'9" or whatever he is

The only way he would catch on in the NBA would probably be a 3 pt shooter in the beginning. He turns the ball over too much in college , imagine what NBA length will do to him. He’s gonna enough to play in the nba but don’t expect him to attack the rim the way he does in college.

Tremont has the ball skills to start in the NBA. As we all know his size kills his draft stock. If he could shoot 90% from free throw and over 40% from 3 I do think that would bump him up a level and he would get drafted. I don’t think you can just make yourself start doing those things though.
