Let me start with the fact that I am 100% on the burrow train.

BUT, why are we so confident that he’s gonna come to LSU all of a sudden?

Correct my timeline if its wrong:

Last Thursday: JB is coming to visit over the weekend and we are in a good spot.

Last Sunday: JB leaves without committing and rumors start to swirl. LSU fans are worried.

Last Monday: reports that JB is leaning toward Cincy. LSU fans are not optimistic at all.

Last Tuesday: JB announces that he will visit UNC. LSU fans can’t decide if it’s a good or bad sign.

Last Wednesday: JB’s visit to UNC falls through (for the time being at least) and he follows a bunch of LSU WRs and OL on instagram. LSU fans believe it’s a sign.

Today: No actual news. LSU fans are as confident as ever that we land JB.

Am I missing something?

Is all this confidence really based on the fact that he followed some of our guys on social media and didn’t visit UNC?

I agree that Burrow’s inactivity this week means we still have a good shot at him. But isn’t it also a bad sign that he hasn’t committed to us yet?

If he were sold that LSU was his destination, I think we’d have heard by now.

Imo, it looks like the kid visited 2 schools and didn’t get exactly what he was looking for from either of them so he’s dragging his feet a bit hoping that the perfect suitor comes calling.

I believe that he doesn’t want to play for Cincy cuz it’s too small of a conference and the knock on LSU is that we won’t outright promise him the starting position. I think he’s hoping a power 5 school will swoop in and guarantee him that he will start for them.

With all this in mind, LSU is in a weird position. Basically we are his best option but not the perfect option in his mind. We are in a spot where we have to hope that no other power 5 schools court JB before he’s hard pressed to join a team and start learning the offense.

It's more just hope due to there being almost nothing else to look forward to on offense.

Because it’s nice to dream when in reality O is the HC and Alleva is the AD.

I can dig that. I was hoping that I missed some huge sign that he likes LSU.

I definitely want this kid on our team, I’d tweet at him if I had a Twitter

LSU >>>>> Cincy (Cincy isn’t even a real school)
LSU needs a QB and made that clear
Not attending UNC
Kid started doing what kids do when they have made a decision (drop hints on social media)

I think these are four very promising signs, hence the confidence. Sure, it isn’t official and things could easily change. But all signs point to LSU right now.

You should have read the post, it’s mostly about letting Joe Burrow mount BengalSharks Mom if he commits to the Tigers.

The honest answer is because he followed some of LSU's players on instagram.

No, I am not joking.

I think the optimism is a function of how people see his choices comparatively, LSU and Cincinnati.

One team plays on national tv most every week in front of 100,000 people and one team doesn't.

I guess the reason for optimism is the assumption logic will play an important role in his decision. No offense to Cincy, but there is no real choice if his goal is to lead a team that would at least be in the conversation for a national title and throw to receivers who will play in the NFL one day.

Jesus Solo Cam. You are a broken record.

News flash: Solo Cam doesn’t like our head coach or AD.

Over/under on the number of times Mrs. Solo Cam just shut off the lights while Solo Cam pounded furiously on his keyboard in the basement on Tigerdroppings.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

If i take my P&G glasses off, I honestly think his indecision favors Cincy.

Given the fact that he’s not chomping at the bit to commit to LSU means that he’s not really sure what to do. LSU is a higher risk with higher rewards but Cincy is near his home and probably feels safer to him.

I think when faced with big decisions, most people will choose the safer route.

BUT, if he’s a the QB that we all believe him to be, he won’t be able to pass up the opportunity to compete for a championship.

It's coming from Voltiger13 saying TODAY is a great day to be a Tiger. People are reading into his Patience is a virtue thread. He is supposedly one of the 2 insiders on the Burrow stuff. Who knows if anyone knows what's true.
