Is he of most value on the bench with a massive clutch gene? With chance he'll not get ABs?
Or
Is his bat too hot right now to justify keeping him on the bench for other guys who can't get hits when they're needed?
What say the rant?

I'm sure he'll catch tomorrow. When he isn't catching, we have to find a way to replace Reid or Deichmann with him.

Deichmann

Has just been a major disappointment considering what he was expected to be.

He is coming around. Last year he looked lost. This year he is at least taking good swings. And Romero should DH imo. The lineup needs bats and his is the best not currently playing everyday.

Deichmann has mega power but some of his strikeouts he just looks so lost on. Mainieri really hyped him before he got on campus. I was expecting more of a Bregman than a Danny Zardon. Wouldn't mind letting Romero be DH when he's not catching, letting him hit RHP and LHP and see if we can't get a consistent bat in the middle of the lineup to complement Dup and Fraley.

And for good reason, the kid was one of the best non-pitching prospects in the country.

Come on Ell, it's worth a hypothetical atleast, right? but you're correct, we can dream! Except Mainieri let Seanny Mac bat against both after he proved himself. The platoon was erased for the most part except in late game situations. Maybe couldn't hurt with Romero.
But really Deichmanns couple of hits lately have been pure luck. And the fact that he can't play a position (3B)/ left side of the IF, he's supposedly played since birth concerns me greatly.

Romero should be the DH no question about it.

Maneri continuing to force Bryce Jordan into the lineup is what hurts us. Deichman on first, Jordan at the DH when he isn't catching. Nothing about Bryce Jordan's bat, base running, or defense have merited him a spot in this lineup.

It's not that hard.

Robertson
Fraley
Duplantis
Be Jordan
Romero
Deichman
Pap

Those six in that order would put up crooked numbers consistently.

Romero is too tall & weighs more than 175, plus PM doesn't like Italians.

Actually my wife's nephew. She is Jordan's dads sister. I'm biased but he is a great kid.

[ I'm biased but he is a great kid.]

Yes, he is. I grew up in Lafayette with his Mom's people.
