His players are stating they want to play. They need to hear from him.

Maybe he’s having discussions with decision makers and not blabbing on social media.

How many times you need him to say it??? He literally said a couple weeks ago that LSU wants to play and would do so anywhere anytime

Hahaha young people today equate social media posting with actual action! This stuff does not happen in public.

He’s stated multiple times he wants to play and that America needs football. What more do you want?

I'm sure he's having a conversation with John Bel as we speak.

I don’t know if you’re aware, but social media is not the primary mode of communication for most adults. Just because you don’t see a post or tweet from someone doesn’t mean they aren’t actively communicating.

99% of the time I would probably agree. But you can bet the social media backlash from some big name players, AD's at power conf. schools and other prominent persons in college football in response to reports that the Big 10 voted to cancel the season and hoped the other P5 conferences followed suit may be starting to turn the tide.

The Big 10 figured everyone would just go along with them and the virtue signaling sports media would help sell the decision as "right". But to have those most at "risk." I.e. many players and coaches, come out and say they absolutely want to play is blowing up that narrative. Orgeron is now a big voice in college football. If the reigning COY and HC of the national champions publicly says they want to play, then it is going to carry some weight.

However, O may be reluctant to say anything because just this weekend he had a likely starter opt out of the season because of Covid.

There isn’t a damn thing Coach O can do about it one way or the other.

This right here.

His voiced opinion will carry weight among other coaches and universities. As someone said earlier, he is the national champion coach and his opinion counts more now than it ever did before.

Why can't he just tell them in person, or text, or call? Why does he have to do it thru the media or social media?

Follow up - after the last couple of seasons, why the frick are any of us second-guessing O's handling of the football program?

They do. You just don't hear it because you aren't on the team.
