I had a blast up in Seattle. There was a pretty intense of group of UW fans that we hung out with. Great view out of Husky stadium into the Bay, just wish you guys got rid of the wood bleachers in the endzone.

their scout board is absolutely pathethic as well...

The free board on Scout is full of Oregon and Wazzu trolls. Most of the actual football talk happens on the pay boards. The free boards have gotten so bad that they're seriously considering just dropping them and only having pay boards.

The entire stadium is going through $250 million worth of renovations right now. Everything except for the north upper deck was torn down and replaced. We're playing our games a couple miles from campus at CenturyLink Field this year (where the Seahawks play). Here's a site with some renderings of the stadium. Virtual venue is pretty fun to mess around with:

Seattle also has tons of things to do in the city and within a couple hours drive of it. So, football isn't always the priority on a nice weekend for a lot of NW folks. It's just a different culture up here, we don't usually define ourselves by our sports teams.

I don't know, I think people are just more tied to pro teams up here for whatever reason. The Sounders and Seahawks have pretty strong followings. You're right though, the passion for the college game isn't the same.

Their stadium looks like an exaggerated version of a Texas HS football stadium with ginormus shades for the top deck. A track around the stadium puts a HUGE gap between the seats and the game. Could the endzone seats be any further from the action? Can you imagine a "Lambeau Leap" when scoring a TD? Awful. Just awful.

FAIL.

Did you even bother reading my post slightly up the thread? We're in the middle of a $250 million renovation. Yes, one of the things that will be gone is the track.

I have never heard of the Seattle Sounders before, a team mentioned twice in this thread. A quick Google search revealed why..soccer.

One of the loudest stadiums in the nation when it gets rocking. Beautiful setting as well, laugh all you want.
