Where do we stand for the NIT? I know NCAA is goal, just curious about the fall back plan

If we had the worst case scenario and lost out, would we still be in the NIT?

What is needed to secure that postseason spot? Would really be nice to know Tremont and returning guys would get some sort of postseason experience no matter what. Not to mention our seniors getting that send off.

If LSU lost the next 4 they would probably still be in consideration for the NIT, but by no means a lock. Winning two of the next four would mean at least 1 win away from home (those are always important). That is probably enough to get LSU into the NIT field.

There is no fall back plan

I actually think the fact we're close to a lock for a post season tournament is hugely optimistic and a testament to Will Wade.

We were picked dead last in a very strong SEC and are in the hunt for 3rd. That's incredible.

I'd say one more win and we're a lock for the NIT.

That would make us 17-14 at worst.

depends on how many small conference regular season winners lose their conference tournament. Those are auto bids for NIT.
