Like I said, Badgernation is the more lunatic fringe. Buckyville is the more sensible group (which is why that board exists).
Personally, I'm more of a "we'll see" kind of guy. Which is why nothing that anyone claims or predicts here really gets me worked up. I find this board to be entertaining. And I'm pissed that my buddies flaked on our plans to head to the game. I was looking forward to hanging out with some LSU folk over the weekend.

I fricking abhor 'sconsin and hope LSU embarrasses them mightily.
That said, I have tailgated with fans of both schools - and I can say with certainty that 'sconsin fans will show up in droves, and their prolific alcohol consumption is sure to impress.

Good post Chitown. We decided at the last minute to leave from NOLA Saturday at 6:00 a.m. I'm sure you'll get some first hand accounts on here or from your Badger friends. Should be a great game...

So that's a "no" on the whole conference pride, win one for the B1G, represent vs the SEC thing?
As an aside, I've got some good friends who are hawkeyes and have gone to games and tailgated there with them. Good time and good people. I don't have the visceral hatred that some do for the Hawkeyes.

I have only spent time in Wisconsin 3 times. the first time was when LSU traveled there a long time ag0 (the 70's ?) we were treated pretty bad with lots of slurs against southerners, racists, etc. a thrown wiskey bottle just missed me at games end.
the next two times the difference was amazing. the folks were very nice and I had a great time. it's amazing what changes happen in about 30 years. I think a wisconsonite traveling to baton rouge during the same time frame would have similar stories. thankfully, folks are more well traveled and educated than the last generation (esp. in the south as we were way behind).

The administration has been working like crazy over the past 5-6 years to make sure that visiting fans are treated well in Madison. I'd like to think they're making progress, and I'm sure some would agree, while others would not.

I'm not into the conference pride thing. The SEC has laid claim to the top spot and it's not even a discussion.
I don't hate Wisconsin, I hate that they became relevant because of some Iowa guys. I'm just glad the whole idiotic legends/leaders nonsense is over and the game is back to being an annual thing.
Iowa fans are envious that Wisconsin is getting is tilt with LSU. This was a big deal for Barry to broker. Iowa used to play Miami, Colorado, and UCLA when they were name programs - now we play PITT and Syracuse.
