games, the problem is scoring not hitting. Big difference. Andy Canizaro was the best at maximizing scoring.

Look at the Ks and when they happened. Throw in all of the opponents walks.

Hard to argue this point.

Especially when he was scoring with someone other than his pregnant wife...

The problem is both

It just means LSU’s pitching has been really good in 4 of 6 games, which has allowed LSU to “outhit” the other team,

You can’t sugar coat the hitting.

CPM believes in station to station offense which doesn’t work against good competition.

I don’t know that, but his only solution to a stagnant offense is repeatedly calling for the hit and run.

Yeah but you have to run station to station to get around the bases on a home run.

Every hitter is an island, he doesn’t understand how to maximize what his players do well, he doesn’t protect his dangerous hitters and doesn’t understand pitch diet. He’s always shuffling the lineup without rhyme or reason and his answer is always a “hot hand”. You can’t build momentum the way he does things and players can’t ever establish a role or expectation in terms of pitches.

So tell us, what exactly did he do to maximize scoring?

Agree, you need a more aggressive approach. Once again, Canizaro’s style.

define being more aggressive. Half the posters on here think we are too reliant on hitting home runs. The other half think we are too small and too aggressive, calling too many hit and runs.

How about players getting a hit with people on base and a little better coaching

Our opponents don't have to outhit us when we walk so many and hit so many batters. Way too many "free passes"
