2017? Why can't a program like LSU have 3 weekend starters every year?

It only happened once or twice under Mainieri. It’s not really all that common anywhere.

You have a coach that gave up on recruiting toward the end of his tenure…..

This isn’t anywhere. This is considered a premier college baseball program. But it’s a program that was too scared too tell CPM several years ago it was time to go. He should have been gone a lot sooner.

Okay?

There are probably only two teams in the country with 3 top of the line starters this year. Maybe only Tennessee.

And some years there aren’t any.

This shite is over. Maybe this team will man up next week on the road. Jay Johnson and these weak arse pitchers are on the clock

Forget having 3 legit starting pitchers in a year. LSU has barely had 3 legit starting pitchers since 2017. Marceaux and Hilliard being really the only consistent ones. Cole Henry had potential but if I remember he was 2 and done after 2020 canceled.

Really hope CJJ changes it soon because it’s getting old quick not having dominant pitching.

I think he will change it.

He just needs time.

Hill, Marceaux, and Labas at the start of '21.

Henry, Marceaux, and Hill in '20.

I would argue both were "legit." Of course '20 was cancelled and Hill got hurt. But the talent was there.

But these were 3 legit talents both years.

Southern miss also have 3 pretty legit starters, but to your point, there arent many teams each year with that. Its usually 1-2 guys and the other guy is inconsistent or young or both

Agreed. But how about 2. Or 1. I would say, most successful programs have at least 1, if not 2 aces.

Yeah, but that wasn’t what was asked.

If you want to complain about our lack of a top line starter, find the thread with the guy sitting ten feet from Nolan Cain and have him voice your displeasure.

Still takes some luck to get those guys to campus. That or some home grown guys that have dreamed of playing at home.

2009- Coleman, Ranaudo, Ross
2012- Gasuman, Eades, Nola
2013- Nola, Eades, Glenn
2014- Nola, Poche
2015- Lange, Poche
2016- Lange, Poche
2017- Lange, Poche, Walker

LSU usually had some of the best pitching in the country, majority of the time that CPM was here.

Jaden Hill's arm problems really fricked shite up.

We should've had him and Cole Henry anchoring the rotation with Hilliard or Labas as the third starter.

Yep.

It's rare that it's not the case. Vandy and UF in the recent past. UTenn this year.

We're in a foul mood tonight and throwing stuff every which way.
