the LSU fans will be the ones getting screwed. We may see King and Joe gone, but we may likely lose Wade. I have no idea as to what Will Wade did or did not do, but this whole mess is reflecting on LSU. Tim Brando on Finebaum today said it is embarrassing how all of this was handled. If Alleva had any inkling, of which he did, he should have started an in house investigation back last fall when this began to come to the forefront. Now it is all about covering their asses and it has blown up in their faces. It is time to clean house. Screw the media and clean up the mess and hope the NCAA camel keeps his nose out of the tent.

I gonna say the current players got a pretty raw deal, if you ask me.

Brando wouldn’t shut up about how wade should have been fired in October and definitely should have been fired the second the yahoo leak was released. It was hard to listen to.

I don’t want to lose Wade.

He’s so great for this university. He has a non basketball fan such as myself truly invested into basketball for once. I admire his respect for the team and school.

LSU is really doing him wrong by not supporting him through this. Should have let the season play out at this point.

Brando is about optics then and not jurisprudence

We have neither heard the tapes nor have we seen it in any context.

Also, this is an FBI trial where many many schools will be shown to have played the game. Dawkins doesnt get a better plea deal he will burn it down.

Brando is a tard and belongs where he is instead of running an athletic program.

Really think it is to early to project how this mess is going to play out. Save the anger & anxiety until it is appropriate. In the mean time, relax.

Really want to keep Wade. Get rid of Alleva and King. LSU is in a crisis of really poor leadership. I’m giving up hope

The fans (and players) are always the ones who get screwed. Coaches usually tread water for a short time and then find another coaching gig. I wish the NCAA would ban coaches as a result of serious violations for 3-5 years (or more).

I think he is likely gone as well.

Probably right. I think JA was hoping this would all just "go away."

They are certainly doing the CYA dance. However, they are also trying to save the program from further embarrassment and NCAA sanctions.

Too late, They are already investigating.

I want Wade back as well...We can get a new AD and President...LSU is a very good school so for me I see multiple candidates for those positions.....Wade's Attorney's want to clear his name in April and I believe that will happen...When I look at what the Auburn Associate Coach received (sentence) for a 100K payout ...I don't think this is going to be as bad ...My opinion..Hopefully he comes back and this is a no story when all said and done and we have a new President and AD..Keeping quiet until then is the best thing....

Unless you have something on the scale of a Penn State, the president and (probably) the AD are untouchable. Men's BB is "small potatoes."

Let's just suppose that a few months has passed. Wade has testified, the NCAA probably felt somewhat uncomfortable after the trial. No evidence was found against Wade.

However, both Alexander and Alleva are still in their current positions.

They tell Wade he can return to being head coach.

Will he do so, and how will he feel, will he want to go back to work for an Administration that didn't have his back the first time?

When Greg Bryne shows Avery Johnson the door and Alleva and F King are dangling Wade as a carrot eventually trying to save face in their mind with the NCAA with firing WW, If I was Wade I would head up to Tuscaloosa and kick LSU's dicks in annually. For me it would the absolute icing on the cak to the shite show at LSU. I hope there is way the institution can save face and fire the bozo clown duo immediately before getting to that point. You have so many shots at a generational hire. I can assure, Grey Bryne opines and agrees with me on Wade.

We've been getting screwed. Football days are insane, parking is becoming non existent, concessions are horrible, yet the higher ups (looking at Alleva and F King) continue to make it as miserable as possible as long at they keep getting paid.

And we all know about how the Wade situation has been handled, so far. Another fail.

Those two goofs can get packing as far as I'm concerned. I've been a season ticket holder for decades and the way the Wade thing has been handled, combined with the aforementioned other stuff, makes me angry. They don't have the best interest of the University in mind. Only what's best for them.

Tim Brando raked Wade over the coals and was a complete dick about it.
frick him.
Finebaum kissed his arse like he was the king.
Had they been in the same room one of them would have left pregnant.
Sounded like the SECRant wishing the worst case scenario on an opponent.

The SEC Rant also hopes it spills into the Football program and LSU football gets the hammer. Little these idiots know that would be the massive blow to the SEC if the latter happens. It won’t. The NCAA is not going cripple an athletic department. It would have a lasting effect on an institution. And fwiw, most of the basketball programs to a degree are implicated in some degree and Kentucky fans better hope Calapri doesn't bolt to UCLA.
