What's your favorite 3-loss regular season since '07: 2009, 2013, 2015, or 2017?

2009 lost to #3 UF at home 13-3, then lost on the road to #1 Alabama 24-15 and on the road to #20 Ole Miss 25-23 in the infamous spike game. Had no wins over teams that finished the season ranked.

2013 lost to unranked Georgia on the road, 44-41, then lost on the road to unranked Ole Miss 27-24, and at #7 Alabama 38-17. Beat #2 Auburn and #18 Texas A&M, both at home.

2015 lost to #1 Alabama 30-16 on the road, then lost to unranked Arkansas 31-14 at home, and at #10 Ole Miss 38-17. Beat #25 UF at home 35-38.

2017 lost at #17 Mississippi State 37-7, lost at home 24-21 to unranked Troy, and lost @ #1 Alabama 24-10. Beat #6 Auburn at home 27-23.

Which was your favorite, or which was more enjoyable to watch as a fan?

2009 was miserable, even the victories. The offense was so bad and the weather for every game was atrocious. It felt like it rained every game that year. The bowl game was the worst gameday experience I’ve ever had.

2013 was a fun season, so easily my favorite.

2015 was infuriating and 2017 has been weird so far. Outside of the Auburn game, it hasn’t been much fun. Syracuse game was one of the most miserable home games I’ve ever attended.

Trying to gauge where this season falls in the annals of 21st century LSU football.

I think 2009 was my favorite. JJ had a decent season as a true sophomore so there was reason to be optimistic heading into 2010. A lot of the groundwork for 2010 and 2011 was laid in that season, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. The recruiting class was incredible and finished #1 on 247. The team essentially met expectations, but things were looking up for 2010 and later.

ETA - I may be romanticizing 2009 a little bit, particularly knowing how 2010 and 2011 eventually worked out.

Favorite and 3 loss should not be in same sentence.

Is it?

Seems a lot of people are upset that some fans aren't happy with the season. I'm trying to understand how happy people were on previous occasions.

Wasn’t Georgia 2013 a top 10 matchup?

5 minutes on Wikipedia while watching the Saints game. No biggie.

Anyway, which season was your favorite?

At the time, yeah, but I believe they finished unranked.

2015 was the worst of the group. That 3 game losing streak starting w/ Bama was agonizing

2013 was special to me since it was my freshman year at LSU. Not to mention watching OBJ, Landry, Mett, and Hill was awesome.

The 2009 Georgia game was a fun win

The Passing game in 2013 was the best LSU has had since 2007

2015 was a steady uphill roller coaster until we lost 3 straight embarrassing games

2017 has been inspiring at times but the last two games will decides its fate

From favorite to least favorite, I woulds say: 2013, 2009, 2017, 2015
