What’s the deal with TD’s beef and Myles, has his talent topped out?

2020 was the conference only szn in which he threw for 1100+ yds and 11/3 Td/Int in 3 games. Our Defense was atrocious that year.

I’m not arguing the fact that these other guys are better. My question is what’s so much better?

Nuss can definitely sling it and Daniels creates problems for sure.

I think everyone would be fine with him as the starter if he was that same guy for sure

I personally am rooting for Brennan. He’s been here forever, came back from the transfer portal, and slung it all over the field when he got his three starts two years ago. I trust his leadership. The other two worry me regarding turnovers.

He also can't out run the average nursing home resident and hasn't played in two years due to injury. He can sling it but people acting like he is a sure thing are just as ridiculous.

I just posted this in another thread and I'll copy and paste it here. Everyone on here is posting about how great Myles was in 2020, when the reality is that he wasn't great at all.

In the 4th quarter of the Mississippi State game, Myles put up a total of 7 points. Myles and our offense was 5 for 17 on 3rd downs in this loss and his QBR was 45.1. In the 4th quarter of the Missouri game, Myles put up a total of 0 points. Myles and our offense was 0 for 10 on 3rd downs in this loss and his qbr was 74.1. You can say what you want to about his total yards and touchdowns, but when it really mattered, Myles wasn't impressive. These were very bad teams and very bad defenses that we lost to that year.

A lot of people on here are of the mindset that "Myles is the starter until he isn't." This just isn't true. I think Nuss has a much higher ceiling than Myles and he's better suited to run this offense. I think we'll see Myles back in the portal just like Brody Miller predicted several months ago.

I have no problem with him personally, but it’s been heavily reported for years that he’s not “all in” and willing to do whatever it takes to be a top flight QB. He’s also injury prone.

That being said, if he can win the job and gives LSU the best chance to win, that’s great. He’s paid his dues.

Nuss has a lot to learn and Jayden is erratic. Best case scenario would be for Myles to win the job this year and see what happens next year with Nuss and Daniels. From what I’ve seen and heard, Walker Howard has a long way to go.

Ahhhh Maybe it was due to our stacked O-line and wonderful play calling by another questionable CEO hire made our 3rd down offense prolific……

It's very simple. The people here are complete and total morons. Anyone screaming that they know, without a doubt, that any of the three QBs should start is foolish. Most here have an agenda for one, and then they just twist, turn and pick apart every minor nugget they get and hammer it home that they are correct.

The fact of the matter is, unless a poster is a player or a coach on this current team, what we are seeing is less than 1% of what any of the three are actually doing. To make a sure fire conclusion based on that is completely idiotic.

We have competent coaches now. The coaches know what's going on way more than anyone here does. I'm confident that they will play the best QB, whoever that ends up being.

You mean you've got off your knees from licking O's nuts long enough to pay attention to anything else going on with LSU?

Nuss doesn't have 3 entire games start to finish to dissect. His completion percentage last year wasn't great and he for sure made some dumb true frosh mistakes, I just think he has a lot of things that you can't teach or coach

When Brian Kelly arrived on campus to take over the LSU head coaching job, he issued everyone a brand new slate. The only thing that matters is what each player has done since Brian Kelly arrived on campus to earn their role on the team. Nothing more and nothing less.

Because if you remember watching him in those games, he looked like he was about to crap his pants every time there was something resembling pressure on him.

If it's Brennan, then why wasn't he out there every day during summer workouts throwing to the receivers like Nuss and Daniels were?

Obviously, because he doesn't care enough about the starting job to fight for it. As he is happy and content to be a backup as long as he can continue to collect his lucrative NIL gravy train for as long as possible.

Same boat. We’ve got a seasoned, proven and very capable dude, who has given a ton and we’re kind of shitting on. I’m Pro-Brennan.

That said, I get this sense that he’s not connecting or at least forcing his leadership with the team. Heck, if I’m a 24 year old hanging with 17-20 year olds, I’m not taking shite from anyone and they’re going to listen to me.

If he is sitting back, it may not be his job to take.

Nuss actually played against a defense with a pulse. He also didn't have Marshall, Gilbert, and Boutte to throw to. Myles wasn't very effective against poor defenses. Throwing the ball 50 times a game in a spread will put up those numbers against bad teams. All the times he got sacked and threw the ball away when he missed his reads was far to many against those bad teams. He won't ever be starting caliber.

Ahh. Wouldn't be fall camp without the usual fan-lead quarterback controversy.
