What's the chance LSU brings a transfer QB in next year like they did Burrow?

Guarantee you, there are QB's all across the country paying close attention to LSU right now. Who wouldn't? Just curious how LSU is handling all of this instant fame regarding their spread offense. Does anyone know? I'll probably have to ask Hanny about LSU's possibilities of getting one in the transfer portal.

Brennan will be the guy leading us next season. But don’t be surprised if he’s challenged again by an outsider. Some may not like the transfer portal, but LSU may have just become the new hot destination.

Because sometimes it takes a while for a QB to get in a rhythm.

Myles Brennan will be in year 4 next year, he’s starting.

We will have Brennan, Parrish, Finley, and Johnson as of right now. Surely we can develop a QB.

I don't know but I just read a snippet on Jalen Hurts on ESPN. I never thought the guy was that great of a QB but he is tearing it up at Oklahoma.

2. We're going to need NASA to keep tabs on Jalen Hurts' numbers this year. The Oklahoma QB had another 300 yards of offense and three touchdowns and barely saw the field in the second half against South Dakota. Through two games, Hurts has completed 83% of his throws and totaled 814 yards, nine TDs and no picks. Compare that to Oklahoma's past three Heisman winners through two games:

Kyler Murray: 64% completions, 607 yards, 7 TDs, 1 INT
Baker Mayfield: 84% completions, 702 yards, 6 TDs, 0 INT
Sam Bradford: 77% completions, 581 yards, 7 TDs, 2 INTs

My thoughts exactly. Curious why some are downvoting that? Idiots!

I have nothing against Myles. In fact, I really hope I'm wrong.

But I don't think he ever starts for LSU

If it helps the team, so be it.

I hesitate to say.

Why? Outside of the his play against Georgia Southern, which wasn't that bad, we haven't seen much of him at all. I don't think we should base who we think should be the starter next year off of one garbage time performance

If you think a first year player will start for LSU then I gotta say I don’t agree with that

I think the game is heading into that type of “free agency” type of thing in college football so unfortunately I think we may have to compete with OU, Bama, UGA, Ohio St, Clemson, UT, and maybe others to be a destination for top players to go to whenever they enter the transfer portal

In this system, the way LSU is playing... why not just recruit an elite QB?

LSU is a modern offense, now. No reason they won’t get big time talent at QB.

Ree, it just shows how a great player can just fall in your lap as a program when you have a great reputation as a passing offense. Hopefully, it happens to LSU too, Coach O's building a reputation.

I hope he is the starter. I hope I'm wrong.

But, I do think the evidence that exists tends to say he won't be. Do I think it's 100% definitive? Obviously not since I said "I hope I'm wrong".

Well, let's just pretend Tua was an LSU freshman next year. Yeah. I think he'd beat out Brennan.

But, there's also the transfer possibility. Basically, yes. I think a first year player might start but I don't rule out Parrish either(although he was a huge reach for scholly)

LSU certainly has the credentials to compete now in a "free agency" market for a QB, everyone is so shocked at how sharp LSU players are, and at how easily they grasp this new offense.

We need an elite QB. Brennan did not inspire any confidence with the half he had to play.

We got lucky in a rare case situation that O saw an opportunity.

Brennan, in this offense, with even another year under his belt, will be great...maybe not Burrow great...but great imo.
