1987. Checked in just in time to watch Archer be a dud and Hallman to come in and take away the magic.

1957/58. Favorite player-Jimmy Taylor. Used to admire the intensity of his workouts at Alvin Roys Health Club. Jimmy and I would have made a great before and after ad. Got season tickets when I graduated. Passed them on to my parents when I left the area. They are still used by my sisters and their families. Same crappy seats!

Ok I didn't think about that being the reason why it wasn't televised. Are TV bans still enforced today?

1958 Dr. spanked me on the arse cut the end of my pecker off, when I quit crying I started following LSU on radio.

My Dad had me yelling Geaux Tigers after the doctor slapped me on the arse. I watched and listened to many games before 1965. But I was being conservative when saying I really started watching when I was 10.
Thx for being my date at that game!
Jones to Hamilton all night long, and it was the first time my feet ever touched the field when we rushed it. Very fond memories of how rowdy and loud that crowd was!

1995. Lsu over auburn with a late interception to seal it. Got to watch from the sideline as a recruit and was sold completely. Loved Kevin Faulk and later herb Tyler and Rohan. great time be a tiger.

1968. From the age of 5 years on, I followed every LSU Football game. Either on the radio with my dad, 2 or 3 games a year at the stadium. Selling cokes in the student section from ages 12 to 17, great memories! Now I can catch every game on TV, but still make it down to the stadium once or twice a year.

But when was the first season you actually took it all in and became a dedicated fan, emotionally invested in the program? Also, who was that one player you remember from that season the most. Just want to get an idea of the different generations on the board.
I started attending all LSU home games in 72. (Bert Jones-Tommy Casanova)
LSU Freshman in 74. GBFTL in 74 and 76-82.
I've seen probably 90% (Estimated) of the games in TS since graduating in 82.
Still play in the Alumni Band every few years, but not every year because it's gotten kind of stale and boring. Many of us want to do more on the field (Like other college Alumni Bands) than just the SOS every year!

My uncle his freshman year, brought home with him one weekend to my grandmothers house for dinner in New Orleans, Joe LaBruzzo. I was on cloud nine as a youngster and he was my hero when he played at LSU. I'm 59 now and it started for me when Joe played. Thrilled when I would hear his name mentioned on tv and on the radio on Saturday nights. Very saddened when he took his own life.

1979. Freshman year @ LSU, although my dad had tickets from 1959 moving forward, so I kinda grew up with it.

I'll never forget listening to the great LSU win against Ole Miss with Bert Jones in the last second. My whole family was listening on this huge console stereo system and went nuts when we scored. Saw everyone of Alexander the Great's home games starting with his freshman season. I've been a die-hard Tiger fan ever since!
