What would the mood be if
Posted by Leonides on 12/30/17 at 9:44 pm05
Herman or Fisher had been hired and gone 9-3 while playing over 20 freshmen?
re: What would the mood be ifPosted by FamousAmos on 12/30/17 at 9:45 pm to Leonides
And still lost to Troy?
re: What would the mood be ifPosted by Leonides on 12/30/17 at 9:48 pm to FamousAmos
Yes, and lost to Troy.

Most on the rant would have given either of them a pass and chalked it up to a rebuilding year. I’m no fan of the O hire process or Alleva, but there are a lot of folks here who just hate him because he wasn’t their choice and he’s a coon arse. I’ll give him another season before I pass final judgment.

fricking pissed but probably a little more understanding/less out spoken because those have been successful HC’s elsewhere

This one time at band camp, I stuck a flute in my pussy

I wanted them both over O, but if either of them promised to be a certain type of coach, then went totally against that then lost to Troy and was set to fire their only big hire after one year, I would be pissed.

Lol. I actually feel sorry for you.

Ok. Tell me where I'm wrong.

Thanks for y'all's input. I didn't like the hiring process but I cannot understand the hatred and seemingly vested interest of a lot of our fans to see Orgeron fail.

Hey, I will always hate the hire, but never will I want to see LSU lose, no matter who the coach is. I hope he succeeds and we build statues in his honor.

Herman has not been successful elsewhere. People are deluded about him.

You mean if they were coach and the season played out exactly the same?
My mood would be exactly the same. Encouraged and feeling like I underestimated the transition. There were clearly issues early on (offensive line didn't know what they were doing, defensive line depth), but I liked the way the team rallied and pulled off a decent season and a pretty enjoyable second half.

Herman - hired as a young up and comer, so an early hiccup or two would be chalked up to that as opposed to the incompetence we saw at Ole Miss. Fans would be mad about the historically bad loss to State and the loss to Troy. We wouldn't have seen Mike The Tiger's Crying or the call in show getting trolled after Troy. There would be more optimism about the future since Herman found his sea legs.
Jimbo - Greater level of concern than Herman, less doom and gloom than O. Some fans might be worried that we picked him up after his sell by date. Others would wonder if he needs an elite QB to succeed. Positigers would point out that he developed some of our best QBs earlier and has a track record of success. But as a veteran coach, he shouldn't be losing to Troy or getting boatraced by Moo U.

Nobody wants this
Many don't have faith that we can avoid it
Huge difference between the two

I disagree. I know there are posters on this board who would rather be right about Orgeron than LSU win and be proven wrong.

If there are any it's an extreme minority and not worth even discussing.
Most of us simply do not believe in the coach or the administration
