What will OU's offensive game plan look like against LSU's defense?

Even with how efficient Jalen Hurts has been this season, I just don't believe they will put the entire game plan in his hands for a potential shoot out.
I think they will try their best to win the TOP by a large margin. They love running the ball especially with Hurts and utilizing Ceedee Lamb and Rambo on passing downs. They're going to want to play complimentary football so that their "Speed D" won't be gassed by the third quarter. I also think this means they will do everything they can to limit Hurts forcing TO's knowing Burrow pounces on those opportunities.
TLDR; OU does NOT want this to be a shoot out. They are going to run, run, run with Brooks and Hurts to keep the defense off the field and fresh.

It will be Hurts running around looking for receivers, and taking off if no one's open. That's been their game plan all year. Hurts has like 1,200 yards rushing.

Take away Lamb as best as you can and then contain Hurts (keep in pocket). IF we do that, it won't be close. Question is will we do that.

Kick as many field goals as they possibly can.

Agreed on the ground n pound front. Try to get into short yardage situations on 3rd down and keep moving the chains to limit our possessions.
Getting the ball to CeeDee Lamb in space. His number of forced missed tackles has to be off the charts this season.
I also expect a healthy dose of misdirection and gimmick from them.

Run the ball (a lot) right at LSU's DL. Quick passes from Hurts so that he's not having to think too much. You'll see more Theo Wease, Jadon Haselwood, and Trejan Bridges than you have all year.
OP, you're right. If this is a shootout, this year's version of OU won't be able to hang. Additionally, if we go down two scores early, the game is over.

Don’t be surprised if Mr. Hurts ends up running it 25 times

Who wants a shootout with LSU?

No, it hasn't.
The bulk of Hurts' rushing yards on on designed runs, especially as the year has gone along.
If Hurt's leaves the pocket, its because he's running the ball. He's not Kyler Murray, who would do what you said and run around to find receives and then decide to take off.

We will see some Rich rod plays
Like gundy said ...it's basically a triple option (w a capable passer)

Right now, J. Hurts is watching the film of the Ole Piss game and is salivating !! Our D has come a long way from that game and I surly hope we can stop him. If not, we’ll still win in a shoot out.

Which worries me only because it gave us fits against Ole Miss
I wouldn't be upset if LSU-OU turns out to be the same type of game as OM though
Up 28-7 and just fend off OU until the clock strikes zero
That's what I love about the playoffs... No more politics. Just win baby!

MS - LSU
We get 3 weeks to prepare and 2 to practice vs this type of offense ... played pretty well GA southern triple option
Also injuries were a bid deal vs MS. If Lsu plays well this game won't be close in my view.
Key will be getting 3 and outs and winning 3rd downs
