David Glenn was just on my radio - think state-wide syndicated popular radio guy here in Carolina. Now, as background, I hear him on the radio often and it is 90% NC teams, 6% NFL other than Panthers, and 4% ACC sports on that show. And when I say NC teams, sure it's Panthers/NC/NC State/Duke, but also App State, East Carolina, etc. In other words, he's all about NC.

So I was just in the car, he had Barnhart on as a guest. Here were the topics in the interview, in order:

1. Polls - LSU has joined the party of 6 teams that can win it all

2. Why Barnhart thinks Saturday was so significant for LSU. "We have been hearing for over 10 years the offense was going to be overhauled to modern, now they've done it."

3. Not just scheme, coaching philosophy. "No LSU staff from last year back as far as... heck, 95% of coaches nationwide... get the ball up 6 with 4 minutes to go - you run the ball, bleed the clock, make opponent use TO's. Not LSU. They kept attacking."

4. Key to the whole thing is Joe Burrow. Barnhart said Joe Burrow was special. Described in detail some of the things we all say.

5. The 3rd and 17 throw.

6. Then the host asked if anyone can challenge the top 6 (LSU, AL, GA, OSU, OK, Clemson) in terms of playoff spot fighting. He said no those are the 6. ETA: Oh and he went through a couple of scenarios about whether the SEC gets 2 in, and said, "LSU can beat Alabama now"

Then they turned to Mack Brown.... etc - rest was back to the NC shite so I kinda tuned out. They took 5 of the 10 minute interview to talk LSU. Just thought I would post about it because (1) we are getting national respect which I know some of you get kinda sensitive about and (2) the narrative around our program is changing and it will def help recruiting. NOW we will be able to recruit a QB!!!
