Thanks California Tiger. I have a question for you since we live on the West coast. Do you come across people in CA that really know about LSU? I was in the grocery store last weekend and meet at Mom and her young son that not only knew about LSU, but about the SEC. Funny thing was, they are Penn State and Minnesota fans. I know we have 2 National Championships, but did not think the fans from othe conference would know that much.

LSU fandom has taken a turn for the worse, the game day experience was infinitely better when were much worse off.

LSU fans are a bunch of spoiled, whiny bitches.

We have some great fans, but we also have way too many spoiled pansies who think they are entitled to a NC every year. If things don't go wrong, they refuse to rally around the team, but immediately turn on them and bash them at every opportunity.

Love your user name. Tommy is my favorite LSU quarterback. I had hoped the original post would bring some response from true Tiger fans. The people that are bashing the team today believed they would be a 3 time National Champion and have forgotten they are "adults" and that these kids play for the love of the game.

far from home tiger, yes, I meet people all the time that are interested in our traditions or have heard about this or that. I have to say people on the west coast have knowledge of us Tiger Fans and our loyalty...I don't want our reputation to be hurt. We have great fans and I'm very happy and proud to be a Tiger. Those USC fans know us. lol

Too this point in the season I'm still not embarrassed to say "how 'bout dem tigers?" I don't see this season as a failure at all. Been w/ the tigers through thick and thin, I will never change that!

I am proud to be a Tiger also. When I moved to WA I wore my LSU t-shirts etc. and people would see me and we would talk Tiger or just college football in general. Now some of those same people will see me and say "Geaux Tigers". I love it. They have their own college teams in town, but they really do not support them like we do LSU. Let's keep up the good work and goodwill.

I think we're at a low point, but not b/c we expected to win a NC. I, for one, expected us to play some close games and probably lose to UF and maybe one of AU/UGA and maybe one other like Ole Miss (b/c they played a lot of teams close last year...they have talent). I never expected us to be destroyed by UF. Destroyed. I never expected the lop-sided loss to UGA. I never, never expected that no corrections would be made 8 games into the season. Miles has never laid an egg prior to this year...and he's laid two big ones so far. I will be very disappointed if we lose this game...but things will get really bad if we get blown out. A good coach should not let that happen with the talent we have...young or not. I don't think that's being spoiled.

Nothing is wrong with them.

Get a grip. If you believe everything you read on this board, I guess you would have a pretty poor opinion of tiger fans. But let me tell you, it's 99.9% hype. I go to all the home games and have sent two of my kids to school at LSU. I couldn't be prouder my kids attend LSU. It's a truly great academic facility.

As far as disrepecting visiting fans at the football games, I can say I've never seen an altercation more serious than a loud "tigerbait".

I can say the fans treat the visitors with the utmost respect. I'm entertaining four Bama fans this weekend. I'm sure they will have a great time.

Think positive.

Sure, we're at a low point and yes, coaching should have made some adjustments, but dammit this is our team and these guys practice and get out there and want to win as much as we want them to win. (damn, that's a long sentence ) I just think we need to be more positive, negativity isn't going to help matters.
