This was ugly. They looked like they don’t belong in the CFP. Granted we would have done the same to any team that lined up as the #4 seed. But given Oklahoma’s past failures in the semifinals and this destruction, do they not get the nod the next time it is a choice between them and a PAC 12 team or a non conference champ SEC team? Also shouldn’t this hurt their recruiting (at least if the Recruit is also considering LSU)?

I mean they’ve been a tier 2 program for easily 10 years now. Benefit greatly playing in a conference that is quietly on life support.

Continue the same ole, same ole, great offense, no defense. They have issues recruiting or maybe developing defensive talent.

Agree on that point. Although back to back Heisman winners adds some cache to the program. I just don’t think they get the benefit of the doubt next time there is another option.

They are like the school bully, beat up the weak and then get their arse kicked when they face a guy with guts to stand up to them.

They clearly build their team to win their conference and they seem to be successful at that (yet always seem to inexplicably shite the bed against one of those crap teams). They would need to take the Clemson approach to get over the hump nationally.
