Smith leaving sucks, as well as Max, but he was hurt for a few games and other guys picked up the slack. We'll also have other guys coming in.

Max would not have started next year which is why he’s transferring out

You're dumb if you don't think Max would have been the starter next year. Nuss has a good arm and a terrible head.
Smith showed a ton of promise.
Ricks can start anywhere, and will play in the NFL.
Kelly needs to stop the bleeding if he wants to field a team that can compete in the SEC.

Especially over Johnson. The guys just isn't that good. He is slow, slow to find receivers, slow to release the ball, and most of his passes are high or just float. I wouldn't be surprised if CBK had a discussion with Max and family and recommended that they look elsewhere. Obviously, Max and his skills do not fit into CBK's plans next year.

Smith is probably the second or third best receiver on the team. He was playing well before he got hurt.
We do have a lot of good receivers, but let’s not fool ourselves into thinking he wouldn’t play or start.
Max Johnson, on the other hand, was probably not going to start next season; sitting behind someone younger or a transfer.
