One of the posters on this board provided a link with a story about Myles and the Brennan family and what happened to their home when Katrina hit. Great article, but what I didn't connect the dots on was that his family is the Brennan family for the great New Orleans restaurants that the Brennan family owns/runs. Of them my favorite is Mr B's

Great to have him as a Tiger, and he is going to have a great year next year.

Even this misplaced Tiger knew the connection - and several years ago...are y'all just now getting on to

the Tiger bandwagon?/ Or are your sauces too limited? Glad to see the link to the original Advocate report on this -- he will be our next star at QB U!!

How do you think one ‘evacuates’ to a yacht in Pensacola after Katrina?

Add on, his family had the influence/money for Brett Favre to privately tutor him.

It surprises me that any Tiger fan was unaware of his connection to the Brennans of New Orleans. It's been written about numerous times since he was first recruited by LSU.

Maybe because I don't spend every waking hour on this board. And yes I have been a poster for quite a while and graduated from LSU in 1984, so that makes me a true tiger fan.

There is an Owen Brennan’s in Memphis, as well. I wondered when he signed and it is named after his Dad. It isn’t owned by the family, but they licensed out the name and get paid for using it.

Mississippi Gulf Coast is connected at the hip to New Orleans every since railroad connected the two areas. Ocean Springs began as a spa for the very wealthy families to escape to away from the annual summer epidemics of yellow fever and cholera. Dad's would commute as need be via rail.

Yes, and BSL, Waveland and the Pass were littered with weekend homes/camps of people from NOLA pre Katrina. Some of them have rebuilt, but most haven’t. There are a ton of LSU fans in the three coastal counties because so many moved away from the city, but still wanted to be close. My family is one of those...
