the other was a team in contention for playoffs...that was killing us and it was an awesome job by O to keep the players in the game and come back and win
Woohoo!!! We beat a 10-4 Auburn Team!! Print the shirts!!

Using your same logic with the Les/O comparison- When’s the last time Les lost to Auburn at home?

I’ll wait.

It's not like I'm pulling this out of my arse. Our SOS was 27 last year and we went 9-4.

The previous 5 years look like this:

2016: 8-4 (missed the rent-a-win due to UF debacle) with a SOS of 4
2015: 9-3 (missed McNeese game) with a SOS of 5
2014: 8-5 with a SOS of 7
2013: 10-3 with a SOS of 11
2012: 10-3 with a SOS of 11.

t's likely he posted we wouldn't win a conference game...as many others did then when we did well the rest of the sec sucked

yea but after we lost to Troy it was a dark walk back to my car with my son that hates the CEO hire with great passion

I only heard we will not win one SEC game

The FACT we won all of them but to the Dark Empire was a nice run by that team in that moment. The Auburn win was amazing!

CEO gets 0 props from the media for that win and the fact the SE and O had to push with Canada the rest of the season not to allow the wheels to come off had to be very hard.

I think CEO decided to hire SE before he fired Canada.

How many of those teams after Troy that LSU beat got new head coaches?

The bowl game was an embarrassment

I'll throw this out there from the aspect of getting ready:

All those extremely talented players/freshmen that saw their first real action last year, and did not play well from a schematic and technique aspect need to be ready to go and play like experienced studs.

If that's done the offense will see significant dividends (thinking about 2 OL and CEH here) and the defense will be stellar (e.g., Chaisson, Phillips, etc).

This is laughable.

There are ~130 teams in FBS. You are effectively saying you'd take him over 117 coaches in FBS, and only 13 coaches are better than him. There is no way, shape, or form any unbiased person would take him over 117 other coaches at the FBS level.

Ed Orgeron did not hire Matt Canada. Derek Ponamsky gave Joe Alleva Matt Canada’s name after reading this website.

Ed: Lane’s comin
Ed: Uh, Lanes not comin, Steve?
Steve: No
Ed: Derek, who’s hot?
Derek: Matt Canada?
Joe: Matt will be here xxday.

Plenty of talent. And if Fulton returns...a 5 star recruit in some eyes, that’ll solidly the position somewhat

This I’ll agree with. It was a bad hire.

I don’t really like him strong arming SE into being the coordinator after 2 years of him turning the position down. Now if the offense fails guess who gets majority of the blame and threats of gettin run out of town? Steve Ensminger

NEGATIVE! If this offense fails it is 100% CEO's fault. He will sink or swim with this offense because it was his choice alone.

No, quite the opposite. I'm saying that we should have beat those teams. A 9-4 season, while already mediocre, looks even worse when you consider the teams we played.

We had 1 good win all season.

Look, CEO inherited some talent but not much depth as well as a decline which was real. He didn't have the best recruiting class (thanks, Surtain, Jr.), but he absolutely has recognized the missing pieces and has filled them--QB, kicker, OL, DL. Honestly, the only obviously questionable part is the SE hire, but CEO and SE are clearly establishing an offense based on our strengths, and they're giving us what we've been screaming for years for. CEO also actually kept the team together after firing CLM and last year's debacle to Troy.

Time will tell on SE, the offense gelling, and the staff CEO has put together. Aranda's got the D--no worries there. But it's not a question of whether CEO has done the off-season things to right what was wrong; it's just a question of whether it will work and of gameday preparedness (Les's biggest weakness), and only time will tell. Football season, let's geaux!

Why did I click on this thread?!?

Please stop trying to prove something that isn’t there.

Be optimistic all you want, but without facts you’re trying to convince people based off opinions.
