what exactly is LSU's offense philosophy?

Our identity is one of playing tough smashmouth offense but is it smart football. Is there a philosophy behind it such as imposing ones will on the defense regardless of the defense or the outcome of the play. Is it a modern and winning football philosophy. The Green Bay Packers in the 60's had a lot of success playing smash mouth football.

We run it for better or for worse.

They use a lot of picks to try and get inside penetration. Some off ball movement, but they would rather just leave off ball players in areas that could open up the middle. If a guard can get into the lane he can either go to the rim or find a teammate if the defense collapses.
Were you talking football? It's Hoops season.

Nihilism. It lacks objective meaning and purpose.

If you have a QB you don't quite trust, yes it is smart. Turnovers get you beat and young QB's make turnovers happen typically.

JaxTiger10 : this is your big moment. Tell us how LSU ran what the pros run this year.

A half a yard and a cloud of dust

There isn't really one, it's a fuzzy philosophy which the staff has had a difficult time translating on the field.

Pretty sure you started posted this same topic a couple of weeks ago.

no, but it is a thread just for you. I want you to explain how it is a modern pro style offense similar to offenses run by teams in the NFL these days. Also which NFL teams have the philosophy of just lining up and running into stacked defenses, 'imposing our will', smash mouth style or is that not our philosophy.

My big moment? Its common knowledge lsu runs a modern pro style offense. Its up to you to show how they dont. And dont give me some playcalling bullshite.

I don't know. I don't remember. I'm sure it wasn't offense philosophy though because I just thought of that. Probably was something similar though. Lack of a passing game and a stupid offense is the story of our season though so you can't talk about it to much.
