What do we think is the average NIL deal for LSU players?

I heard a rumor from a somewhat reliable sauce that UTSA's qb received $1.2million to return for the '23 season.

UTSA is 11-2 and moving from C-USA to the American next year. Their QB is Frank Harris ( 247), 71.1% completion, 3865 passing, 31-7 TD/INT. UTSA is currently ranked 22.

If this guy is getting this much dough, what do LSU guys cost? How much would it cost to get JRoy to return for another year? I've been generally skeptical about the numbers I hear regarding cost of transfers and recruits, but if this is true then the whole market must be insane.

average?
no telling.

there is probably a few backup guys on the roster that get like $500 that will throw off the averages though.

Sounds like some bullshite an agent would throw out there like Rashad in recruiting at Miami getting close to 10 million. Not happening especially for someone that's not generational. Being thrown at there to make the bids go up that's it unless it's a legit NIL deal not funded by boosters.

There's no telling. On top of the deals that people like Gordon approach them with I figure there's a number of guys who get compensation from the local car dealership, oil field supply company, heating and refrigeration service, etc. in their hometowns too.

The NIL deals are WAY less than people think. A handful of QBs and maybe a few elite transfers that worked the system, but otherwise it's small.

There’s absolutely no way a QB at UTSA is getting paid $1,000,000+. Tell your source to lay off the crack pipe

Received it from who?

These NIL deals are business decisions - businesses feel that promoting a partnership / sponsorship with Player X will provide a positive return.

What sort of business is paying the UTSA QB $1.2MM and expects that to generate some sort of profitable return?

Gordon mentioned on either Culotta or OTB that some of these guys are getting a few thousand a month.

was being nice and assuming every kid gets at least some sort of bone thrown his way.

even if it's just the local used car lot saying "hey come take your picture with _______ from local high school that now suits up for LSU!!!"

I saw a graphic on Facebook that said Boutte was #10 in the country for college football at $1.4m. One of those sports blog suggested for you sites so no idea if it is accurate or not but I could believe it with Gordon and him flirting with Alabama last year

SIL works for John Deere. He says Nussmeir gets $10 or $15k from JD.
