We didn't beat Vandy. We were outscored 28-8.

That’s correct. I was thinking we won the 5-4 game that we had a chance to win. Oh well. To answer his question, I believe we can beat any team. I don’t think that means we can sweep or win a series against them.

We have 16 hits in our last 3 SEC games against extremely mediocre pitching staffs.

Auburn had a preseason 1st round pitcher throwing against us and he looked like it. Alabama’s starter in the first game was a preseason top 200 prospect. The starter today had a 3.57 ERA with a 90?/17 SO to walk ratio. Say whatever sounds good though.

Holy shite. Some of you are willing to go to any depths to blame something on Mainieri, no matter how stupid it makes you look.

And the sad part is that there are plenty here that read this and thought, "You know, this guy is probably right."

Number 9 and 13 out of 14 team ERAs. But I guess hard stats don't sound good to you.

You said the last three SEC games. I was referencing the pitchers we faced. I never mentioned the ERA of the whole staff combined. You can keep moving the goalposts if you’d like.

It’s an emotional, illogical take. Never have I ever heard of a coach icing his own batter by having a meeting with him. Especially since he had him 3-1. Just let them rant. I’ve realized It isn’t an argument worth getting involved in. Rants gonna rant.

Always the coach’s fault when someone strikes out looking?

For a head coach to ice his own player, it's a bit confusing.

patient...probably also told him that they may be pitching around him.

They were absolutely pitching around him. The pitcher tried to walk him. First base was open and Crews's run couldn't win the game.

With great fastball hitter at the plate. Just another example of CPMs total lack of understanding when it comes to offensive baseball.

People are just tired of baffling in game decisions for which the head coach typically has no logical explanation.

Crews is an excellent hitter. He’s way better than I ever was. At the end of the day you have to battle in that situation. Even if you foul it off and get another pitch. The fact is the coach didn’t tell him to take with two strikes on him. Next time I bet he will come through. That’s baseball

Your reading comprehension is very poor again. Crews coming through next time is baseball. I wasn’t referring to the coach and have never used that in reference to PM. Keep trying hard though.
