My guess is that the messages from donors (both large and small) that they were not going to be donating until changes are made were starting to pile up.

The people that write the checks have been working on thisfor a little while, moving pieces into position. Once the ax fell on Alleva, things were put in motion.

They have been talking to Scott Woodward in back channels to confirm interest.

Then pulled the plug when they knew it was done. They weren’t going on a fishing expedition after firing Alleva.

Exactly, this has been in the works for a while now. I do believe the money talks part though. I'm sure some big donors threatened to pull their donations.

I still wonder what role the BOS and F King have going forward.

Will Wade said he would come back and say whatever they wanted him to say, but only if Joe was shown the door.

I don't think they're done. F king should be nervous

Those wheels are already in motion, notice as soon as the AD announcement was made a state-wide education figurehead was floating the idea of canning King. Lots of dominoes falling.

That seems to be pretty clear. Woodward being announced on the same day doesn't happen unless he was in the bag before they moved on from Alleva.

I feel like this may have been in the works for a bit. But we actually did something correctly for once. We had a legit replacement wrapped up before pulling the trigger. And it was kept quiet.

Exactly. It just looks that way from the outside looking in when things are running properly behind the scenes with competent leaders.

I know we've been conditioned as Louisiana residents and LSU fans but this is exactly how decisions are supposed to look. Not like the typical, long, drawn-out klusterfuk that's become our normal

The initial statement from the “leak” this morning basically confirmed they had their man. I think they wanted to wait for Joe’s body to go cold but the A&M reporters got wind
